I have one 20 year old primaloft north face and a 10 year old primaloft north face. The quality on the old one is actually better. More roomy/comfortable cut despite being a size smaller. Better lining in the pockets. Higher quality zips. Love them both.
I picked up a north face nuptse gillet the other day , luckily for £40 - I had a thrudark one for a while but the collar fabric got damaged and was uncomfortable on the neck after I repaired it - you can wash down jackets in the washing machine - the secret to drying is use a hair dryer and slap the jacket with a coat hanger laid flat - the hair dryer will dry the feathers as they will clump together- not to worry just focus the hair dryer on those clumps and as you do so slap the jacket with a plastic hanger it will separate the feathers and make it much more fluffy and warmer after you have done this - I’ve done this to many down jackets and they all are back to normal- plug the holes first or your loose the feathers in the wash or at the slapping stage - Amazon do patches of all colours especially for down jackets £6 packet of 10 or more - you can add water repellent at the wet stage and make it more winter friendly- - wish some one would design ember or camping proof down jacket - keep the videos coming great content 🤟
