that's crazy, NL you're really a dad, congratulations. its been years since i first started watching your content and eventually fell off of it because my interests changed while your content provided comfortable consistency. i remember i would watch your Isaac runs every night and never finish them because watching you play Isaac made me incredibly drowsy. coming back to your content again made me realize its really hard to find quality content like yours. especially the level of commentary you provide. keep up the good work :)
His own? Some of that endgame was just weird hyperfocus on one piece at a time when moving something else could have given him a win turns earlier, in the first game.
didn't really need to be ganging up on green when blue, i.e., the the guy with two queens, has, you know, two queens, one of which you could have taken with the bishop *without* leaving the bishop exposed/relying on Yellow to take green's rook in order to not lose it. oh. he was expecting blue to time out. fair enough.

He literally was getting out of the way and Baer was waiting for NL to go under and did it on purpose. Go back and watch and you will see there is no way Olmec dies if NL stays still NL moved cuz the area for Olmec to die was on the other side and he didn’t trust Baer to not kill him too which he did anyway
Four player Spelunky is pogged out of this universe. Totally game of the year, thank you Derek Yu and thank you NL! Definitely going to wrangle my friends for this one.
Bumper episode! 4 player spelunky 2 though is pogified chaos. I'd love Ryan, Dan and Malf to play it! Just noticed this whole episode is just 2 games. 4 player chess....well I'm at least intrigued to see how that works.
In the trash compactor stage, if you go to the subspace, the trash chunks will fall and break and will have ropes and bombs in them occasionally. So its a good idea to go back there and try to stock up if you have the time.
I used ti imagine playing a game of chess like this when I was a kid but we never actually sat down and tried to do it. This was a wild one. 4 player Spelunky is good chaos too, I had a lot of fun with this one.
