You'll love it my friend! Can't wait to hear your opinion once it arrives. Try contacting Sean and ask for the brushes. If there's interest they may release more 😉
Great shave as usual! Love the look of that razor. I have not tried macduffs myself, but will add them to my list to try here soon. I think it’s funny how fragrance is so personal. To me, a subtle scent is the best scent for a soap, because I want my cologne to shine. Enjoy the day and keep on keeping on
@@ShaveAndTell Will do! May have to get this exact setup from the razor to the soap... Both look amazing! May skip the splash however for the reasons I stated before, but looks great.
@@ColletteClassic Love it! I think you'll like the razor a lot. It's super efficient, smooth and gentle. You're enjoying the R41 - this will be walk in the park and probably as efficient.
I had the first release of Northman, but sadly I just didn't get on with it. I really struggled to get a decent lather from it - and even though I changed to distilled water for lathering (I live in a VERY hard water area), I found it still didn't perform anywhere near as well as soaps from Stirling or Henri & Victoria. It was always thin, and seemed to lack body, no matter how hard I worked it. Perhaps I had a bad tub? I don't know, but its the one soap I eventually traded because it didn't work for me. Glad you got good results though. Very nice shave.
Thank you for watching! Thanks for sharing your experience, sad to hear that it didn't work for you. Our water here in British Columbia is not hard at all but I still use distilled water as it lathers a bit better. I'm curious what type of brush do you use? I find that my badger and boar brushes are very soap hungry and they lather not as good in a bowl compared to my synthetics.
@@LawrenceWhitaker that's unfortunate. Hopefully you can find a sample and give it another try. I just learned that for this release the Northman is using the new soap base of MacDuff's.
