They don’t normally give standing ovations in Russia, they consider it disrespectful, they usually give Dimash many, many bouquets of flowers instead! No this wasn’t a contest (not for Dimash, anyway) he was a guest in this New Wave 2018 competition. In 2021 he was one of the judges and did some amazing guest performances in that year. The man who did stand at the end is famous Russian billionaire composer/music mogul Igor Krutoy. After this amazing performance, he came out of retirement to compose for and work with Dimash. You will no doubt hear many of the masterpieces he has written for Dimash (Igor will generally be accompanying Dimash on piano, when it’s his composition). The extremely successful New Wave competition in Sochi Russia is Igor’s baby. Dimash has many amazing composers composing for him as well as being an amazing composer himself. I’m sure you will also come across many of those masterpieces if you carry on with your Dimash journey. Dimash’s latest composition that he has been working on for 3 years has just been released in the most expensive MV, ever produced by any artist. It is an absolute masterpiece at 13 minutes 40 seconds long! It has to be one of the most harrowing songs and messages ever written and of course Dimash’s acting skills are incredible, as usual! That gentleman in the white who is standing at the end is Igor Krutoy - a very famous composer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. They are an incredible team.

Before you finish commenting on this song, I want to let you know that the man in the white shirt that’s untucked at the end of the song, is Igor Krutoy a billionaire record producer composer from Russia who not long after this collaborated with Dimash, coming out of retirement for him, and they have a very special relationship now of a dozen or more songs some that he wrote just for Dimash and some covers that Dimash has performed of his songs. Whenever you see Igor at the piano, Dimash is performing one of his compositions. He will never be Dimash’s piano man. This song in 2018 was the beginning of their collaboration. They do not have signed contracts with each other. They are merely Gentlemens agreements. This singer is beyond remarkable and one reactor that I saw recently wanted to know “what do you call someone who is beyond a superstar?“ I think that pretty much sums it up. You have watched a four year old and five year-old video so far. He has 2 dozen more since then that fall in the category of SOS and sinful passion and perhaps a bit beyond in amazement. Millions of us are on this journey with him and we would like to have you along. You have already had plenty of recommendations for future videos. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Dimash was never on the voice. He came second in a comp in China called I am Singer. His S O S performance week 1 introduced him to China and the rest of the world.

This is always one of my favourites from Dimash. Had you watched a moment or two longer, you would have caught a glimpse of the incredible human being Dimash is. He thanked the original A-Studio band members who composed the song (the pianist and the shocked guitarist were original members of the band and the pianist was the composer). He showed respect to the original singer from the band who had passed several years ago with the traditional lament he added to the song. The announcer was a bit overzealous - technically, Dimash should have won the Chinese show The Singer, but rules at that time did not allow non-Nationals to win. Dimash therefore came in second place. The rules were changed for the next year and a non-National won in 2018 (Jessie J I think?). Dimash has returned for guest performances because of his incredible popularity. His ensemble of Queen Medley with Super Vocal Boys is a master class on harmonies! Cheers from Canada!

There is so much more to this story. This song was a song done by a Kazakhstan group. And so, Dimash had the Kazakhstan band come to him there, and play the song with him. Truly remarkable. This band is not his band, but a Kazakh band. They played this song together, I think it might be in Russia or near there. Such a great night for Kazakh folks.

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.

Dimash is one of the three KNOWN people who has a 7 octave. He trained for 23...since he was 5. Part of his training was swimming to help build his lung capacity hence why he hold notes long.

Great reaction. That man gave faulty information. Dimash was not on the Voice in China, he was on "I Am a Singer". And he didn't win it, he came in second. As for how he has so much air, I saw a fan who seems to have a good theory. They said, "He takes our breath away and uses it for himself!" (Truthfully, he works out and plays sports and holds his breath while swimming.)

Best singer in the century!

A-Studio is the band accompanying Dimash and the keyboard player is the composer. The lead singer passed away a few years ago. I watched A-Studios' version and once again Dimash made it his own and did it better. Dimash began his music studies at the age of five along with his regular schooling, and still does vocal training for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. He said that since he was 2 yrs. old, all he ever wanted was to perform on stage and sing, and never swayed from that goal or considered doing anything else. That is true passion and dedication for his craft.

After you hear this guy sing what impressed you before, stop doing it... this guy is the absolute perfection of singing and acting, the singer of the century... plus the orchestra, the musical arrangement, the stage and the lyrics of the melody, it is impeccable. Dimash works on every aspect of his 'craft' - his instrument - including breath control. He swims as much as he can to maintain and expand his lung capacity.
