These are the real numbers behind a $5,000 wholesale order and the profits I made after only a month.

Back near the end of May I decided to purchase a large wholesale order to sell on Amazon FBA. This order cost nearly five thousand dollars for several hundred units of product. I decided to use this large purchase as a case study to show you what's possible with a wholesale business model on Amazon FBA.
I'll start by showing you the numbers when I first purchased these items. Sales rank, total units, total costs, everything you might want to know and my thought process behind the products I decided to purchase. Then a little over a month later I come back and show you what actually sold within that first month it's active on Amazon. Again, I show you all the numbers like units sold, average sales price, profit, and much more information.
By the end of this video you'll see why I switched over to running a wholesale business instead of retail or online arbitrage. Since I made this purchase I have made many more orders from my supplier and I might show some more orders in the future so make sure you subscribe!

Pretty good. Only one of the units hasn't sold out at Amazon so I'm still stuck with that one, but the other ones sold out.

Hi! I`m very interested how do you find supplier with such a huge margin. I`m currently searching for wholesale suppliers and have few open accounts with some of them. They are legit suppliers but the prices they offer are putting me in negative. And I went through all of their inventory, there is no way I can find even 50 cent profit with FBA. For example Funko toys selling at $6.40 each and on amazon they are 11.99, only FBA fee is killing the margin. And a lot of other toys as well. I`m just trying to understand where the problem is, wrong suppliers or just wrong items for FBA?

Really informative. For the case pack that you were gambling on (the ones that Amazon had listed and periodically ran out of stock on), was the plan to hold on to them to merchant fulfill as soon as amazon ran out. Or did you send them in and list them at your price right away? Either way, I really like that strategy. A lot of people say to stay away from products that amazon list but your strategy makes so much sense. You are the first person that I have heard that has ever mentioned that. Thanks for the content.

I sent them in to Amazon so that way they were there and ready to go when they sold out. I wanted my inventory to be next in line after Amazon sold out. 9 times out 10 you want to stay away from products that Amazon is selling, but that's why I recommend Keepa. You can see how consistent Amazon being in stock is and if there's an opportunity for you to take a gamble like I did.

Congratulations on your business!! I started recently to watch your videos and already subscribed, you have a lot of good information! I have a question about this specific batch of products. Did you ordered all this different products to be sent to you house for a further preparation to send in to FBA or the supplier did that prep for you? I hope you understand my question. :-)

Thank you! The items shown in this video were sent to me and then I prepped and sent into Amazon. This supplier will ship direct to Amazon for me if I ask. The prep and labeling would be done by Amazon in that case.

Yes, I found the supplier first. This supplier sends out weekly inventory lists that I scan for profitable products.

I liked seeing the breakdown of your wholesale order. I'm at the stage of finding my first supplier and placing that first order (watched your other video on this topic, too!). Do you have any tips on efficiently finding those profitable items, once you've gotten your account created with a supplier? I have RevSeller and Right Click Search Amazon installed and just check each item manually, but that's pretty slow. Thanks!

Definitely recommend a software like Tactical Arbitrage that scans inventory lists for me. There's a couple different softwares that'll help you scan lists similar to TA. Thank you for watching!

Great video! Question, when you said you were going to wait until amazon sells out of that one lot, do you plan on sending the shipment in right away and mark it high or wait til AZ sells out to even send it into fba? Was trying to weigh the difference in losing a couple days in transit to fba when sold out or just have it sit in fba while waiting. Thanks!

I always send it in to wait. You never know when Amazon is going to sell out and so you want to have it ready to go so you can sell out quickly. Thanks for watching!

Path to Billions Gotcha. I have never looked into wholesale but that seems to be the next step after OA. When your wholesaling do most shipments come pre manifested? I noticed you said some items of lots weren’t profitable but others more than made up for those. Curious if that’s how most wholesale works?

For toys it's pretty common to come across those assortments because of the variety. You know what's in them, but you have to buy the whole assortment. For other categories you're more likely to buy individual items in bulk.

It doesn't hurt to do both. Wholesale is a great way to get ungated so you can find even more toys through RA or OA.

I’m already ungated in most toys I’ve made small wholesale orders to do so but thinking about making some large ones. What would be the least amount of profit you would take per item?

I've been slowly increasing it and right now my minimum is about $2.50. As you can see in the video I'll dip below that for some assortments as long as there's enough profit on the other items.

With so many courses gurus out there one quick question why not manufacturers get direct relationship with Amazon. Is there a calculated risk of this occurrence and /or is this just part of the protocol of the program?

There's plenty of brands that work directly with Amazon. Amazon can't possibly work with every manufacturer out there though. Plus Amazon tends to look for very large manufacturers that can supply large amounts of products and may not work with smaller or medium size producers. There's probably plenty of other reasons why too.
