The Nursing Process 

First of all I want to start off by saying Thank you so much. The way you broke the actual problem the patient was having in the steps of the nursing process and included the subj and obj data. I was able to understand the entire Nursing process while in front of a patient. It's crazy how you were able to paint this picture in my head in 24 minutes and 57 seconds and now I understand the concept and I'm not just guessing. Thank you for enabling me to think like a nurse. New subscriber, please make more videos, we need more teachers like you who actually know how to break it down like this and enable students to UNDERSTAND what's really going on. I can't believe this. I'm watching Maslow's Theory next. Much love!

I just started nursing school and the nursing process is very confusing especially completing a nursing diagnosis. I came here, cause just got my first quiz on Nursing for Fundamentals and ai did horrible because of the same reason. I Knew the definition but like how you said the question they asked what do you if this and that threw me off. I'm definitely watching this. Plus the prof was not very helpful

I think daily body wt is more accurate measurement than checking the BP if the diagnosis is a Fluid Volume deficit. Because low BP could be related to so other different conditions than fluid deficit. Id rather check clients body Weight daily with the same cloths and in the same time to get more measurable outcome in order to correct the fluid deficit in addition to stopping the bleeding by giving the client blood and proper nutrition and fluid. I would also fix the BP, but I wouldn’t take it as the most accurate measurement for fluid deficit nursing diagnosis. Just saying my opinion what do you think?! am I right?! Or am I mixing it up with another thing?! I’m also learning from your videos.

thank you and i want to know do it no need to write Assesment according to order as example first subjective and then objective? can we write it mixing? and then do we want to prioritize the diagnosis? i thought the diagnosis just taking from the assesment and write in Assesment column and in planing column it priritized and write with what are the actions going to do? can you please clarify that

@ Maria Mobley,MSN,BSN,RN Thanks for this b/c with the last question. I had thought to do B, C, A b/c I did not use the logic presented here. I knew to Hold the medication once I noticed HR was low. But, it is interesting that we are holding a medication based off another answer option and not from statements in the question. Does the NCLEX do that too?
