This is the scene in the first season at the airport where Anna is leaving and Seth tries to convince her to stay. Sorry about the quality, I dont even know how i managed to get the thing up.
6 years late but that always bugged the hell out of me. You can tell the writers were like " we made these characters really likable together and the actors have really good chemistry as well but we have to get Anna off the show and Seth and Summer together. So lets just make up shit and say they didn't have any chemistry."
That scene is SO heartbreaking! they both played it perfectly and everytime I watch it, I cry like a baby :'( Definitely one of my favorite scenes of all shows!
I want to say, I’m 35 now and I took the “Confidence, Cohen” to the heart. It’s helped me every step of the way since 16 when I first watched this scene.
I remember the first time I watched this scene! I cried like a baby! this scene is perfect and so realistic, it's definitely one of my favorite scene in the OC and other series. Love watching it over and over again...
I cry every time I watch this scene. I loved Seth and Anna more than Seth and Summer. They were so cute together. :[ When Anna leaves with tears in her eyes; it's just so sad.
It seems like Anna lied when she said that they don’t have a lot of chemistry just so he doesn’t feel completely heartbroken by the situation which that in of itself is so sad hearing because they absolutely had a lot of chemistry more then him and summer
she should have replaced mischa (after her tod: time of death) instead of that crazy valedictorian chic. the oc went all wrong.... mischa shouldnt died in the first place...
I like Seth and Summer together. But do you think if things had gone differently? I think Anna would have been perfect. Unfortunately timing is everything, she loved him, but he, however hard he tried, had eyes only for Summer. And it is clear that Anna left for Seth, she could not stand the situation that had arisen. I also think that Seth was still feeling something for her after all. However, the pair of O.C. more beautiful, with a poignant harmony and, certainly, that deserved one more chance. Between him and Anna there was understanding, harmony, common interests, mental feeling. Summer, at least initially, was the usual crush on childhood and there was only sexual attraction with her. There was a different, mature relationship with Anna, it was about ADULT love. Which Seth wasn't ready for, and this makes Anna herself understand in the dialogue at the airport. The most BEAUTIFUL and TEARJEKER scene in this series.
''Sorry about the quality, I dont even know how i managed to get the thing up.'' 😅 all good, dont worry :D hahaa.. i liked Anna a lot. She is smart, strong, pretty. but i liked Summer a bit more.. because. Its Summer. And she is also not dumb.
@TatiAnaMercedes me too, i adored Anna. i already had lots of Nada Surf from One Tree Hill, but i had to delete this song, cus it makes me cry now, which is a bad thing to be doing in the middle of college.
the whole scene was perfect ..but seth when he hits the window ..should of said i love you or when they were hugging should of whisperd i will always love you. even tho it would make her hurt more ..getting one last i love you would be the best thing to happen (in my idea)
seriously seaon 1 was the best one all the characters are interesting...Anna, Luke...... They should have brought them back in season 4, instead of creating bpring characters like Matt, Johnny...
I'm with you on the loving Anna thing, she was amazing. But I disagree about her being better for Seth (if that's what you meant by you prefer her to Summer), I disagree only because I think Seth and Anna are too similar... if you are too similar to someone you are in a relationship with it starts to get annoying quick... Seth and summer have that right connection though, they agree on enough to be together but disagree enough so that it doesn't get boring. but hey thats just my opinion lol
Very good point! I used to think the completely in-synch 100% in-agreement thing was the ideal, until I met my girlfriend who made me realize the excitement of being opposites in many respects yet at the same time having the crucial interests and beliefs in common. I think that balance can be important to keeping a relationship interesting. Not for everyone, but certainly from my perspective so far in life!
hahaha today thats 15 security checks by the time he gets his pants pulled up from the cavity check (from running threw the gate to fast) her plane would be landing in its destination
