This is a really beautiful scene. I love that Seth for once sees someone else than himself and his realtionship with Summer.

I've spent the last week just watching The O.C. it may be kinda sad but I want that life no matter how disfunctional the moments of pure love are amazing...

And the award for best TV soundtrack of all time goes to....

I always felt the friendships between Seth/Marissa and Ryan/Summer were very underdeveloped. I would have liked it if they would have focused on their friendships as much as they did the romantic relationships. I think that's why I loved Gossip Girl because we got to see Serena and Chuck be friends as well as Blair and Dan, before the writers screwed everything up by getting them together.

i sooooo agree, i never watched The OC until one time when my housemate bought all the seasons then in watched them all in one week and the music was incredible, they really add to the scenes.

Final episode closing sequence with “life is a song” by Patrick Park, the redeemer that reminded me why I fell in love with the show to begin with. 🍊

There are two versions of the same song. Both my the same artist, Rachael Yamagata. There's the version from the EP and the version used for her music video. This one is the version used for the music video. You must have the one from the EP.

@foxymily me too! it bothers me that they never really focused in on that. I love the O.C., but I feel like it's seriously missing a few key aspects. It was always R&M and S&S. They almost never showed any scenes between seth/marissa & summer/ryan. They focused so much on the relationships that they forgot about the friendships, you know? Not only that but do you notice that Ryan&Seth and Marissa&Summer had never had a fight? At least, not a very significant one. &that really takes away from it.

the music totally does like 50% of the feeling of a show....if theres good music at the right time in a show the scene becomes just amazing.. like in OTH when they use Never say nevery by The Fray in of their episodes... I loved that episode a lot just because of the music...

This show should have done the swap thing, hooking up Seth with Marissa and Ryan with Summer, or especially after Marissa died. Ryan and Summer could have sought comfort over losing Marissa by sharing their pain with one another, and then hooking up. The show didn't have to end when it did. Stupid writers.

I was actully hoping for it but seth and marissa would never do that to ryan and summer.
