Use to see 30/06 and 270 FN Mauser sold by Sears, Montgomery Wards, and Revalation (Western Auto). I have not seen one in a long time.

A classic Big Game Rifle. Most that I have seen in .375 and good+ condition, are listed at around $1,500 to $2,000. Unfortunately, many of these were restocked. As I recall, Sako also sold these as barreled actions. The swing safety shows it was a very early gun, perhaps made up on some pre-war parts. The later versions had a low scope type safety like the FNs. I would think the mussel break would definitely lower the value to a collector.

We had a Varmintmaster in .22/250 some time ago, before we started doing RU-vid. Looking for another.

Hi Andrew, I bought a model 70 Super Express 375 h&h mag . It was kinda a bang bang deal and I didn't get time to research the gun. It seems nice but is NOT a controlled round feed gun and I ve no idea of age. Can you tell me more about what I have? Thank you

Probably. I would need good pictures and the serial number. Andrew@BTO-Range.com.

Andrew, I'm having trouble uploading pics on this format. Do you have an email I can use? Perhaps a general email you don't mind putting on the comments

Just watched this and have a ? About early sako I have a FN commercial 300 win mag I know they were changing over their actions before 300wm was introduced. Whe I pulled it out of the wood, the trigger is marked sako in large letters. Also no sako mark visible on upper part. Oddly to me it has a 3 digit serial number if I remember correctly. Just trying to identify this as to if it’s a sako or ?

Not factory Sako except for the trigger itself. The actions were available to the gunsmith trade, so if there are no markings on the receiver or barrel it may be a one-off workshop build.
