The Obscure 83 Year Long History of Blue Beetle 

I met Blue Beetle Jaime while watching the iconic cartoon "Batman: the Brave and the Bold" as a kid. I think his crush on the Huntress was the best part of the show 😂

I Love Blue Beetle,If it wasn’t for Batman the Brave and the Bold,Young Justice,the Animated Films,Justice League Action,and Injustice 2,I might’ve Never Known of Him and I will admit the 3rd One is the Best but I’m Surprised the Others have a Huge Impact to the Lore that this Movie Took Inspiration that is the Spider-Man of DC and the Much Better Version of Ms.Marvel,I Just Hope and Pray that the Movie is Good and Fun.

I was hoping you’d mention some notable footnotes like how Blue Beetle was going to be in Watchmen, but DC editorial chose to have a pastiche of him in the form of Nite Owl. Also, that the Ted Kord BB was created by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko so the similarity in their design is not as much of a coincidence.

I've enjoyed Blue Beetle in all his animated appearances. The comics are hit or miss for me. Not sold on the movie, but we'll see.

I took my six-year-old to see Blue Beetle. He said it was the most epic movie ever.

I stopped reading since the Giffen/DeMatteis run of JLA/JLI and I loved the Blue Beetle & Booster Gold combo, so I had no clue there was a 3rd Blue Beetle. This kinda surprised me, but the trailer is good and this video kinda set my mind at ease. Looking forward to the movie now. Thanks.

I think Jaime Reyes got lucky. Ted Kord imo could have easily broken through as a fan favorite even without Booster Gold. Multiple times Ted was supposed to make appearances in other media but couldn't due to legal issues.

Truly an idea that just git better with every try until they finally cracked the scarab and gave us one of the best dc characters of all time

I hope DC Studios will avoid all the crap that we're just tired of. I'm tired of terrible writing. I'm tired of terrible people who don't immediately suffer the consequences of their actions. I'm tired of hard-working talented people getting screwed over. I'm tired of empty promises. I'm tired of separate universes. I'm tired of all of it! DC, as a brand, deserve better and on some level in their thick heads, the Warner Bros executives know this. And with Gunn confirming that DC Studios is practically separate from executive input, gives me the sigh of relief I needed for eight years!

I think this has the potential to be better than the first Shazam. It seems to have the family dynamic like Shazam but Jaime is still the main character and focus. In Shazam it felt like they all were main characters when it should’ve personally just been billy and having this be the first Latino lead superhero movie is big deal. Plus he going to be in the new dcu. Teen Titans is on the way

Yeah Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle has the potential being the Spider-Man of DC instead of the failed Sideways. I have a storyline that can make Blue Beetle significant like Spider-Man but this would make him a copy of Spider-Man Ok so the scarab would be like symbiote were the memories can connect on other universe and this would make it's so that the scarab can find a universe were the heroes are still starting up and they can conquer them and control them and then they'd attack the main DC universe and I think that'd be dope but that would make scarab a venom rip off hahahaha, what'd you all think?

Every time I see a trailer for a DCU movie I get excited and then get severely let down. I’m seriously hoping this will be different because I love Jaime Reyes as the blue beetle but I’m done with the abusive relationship I’ve had with the DCU 😂

The movie was pretty damn good. The only negative was the grandma became cringe at the end but other than that it was DCs best movie in a long time

Well that's not lie to ourselves because a lot of comic book fans love Ted cord that's why some people were trying to figure out why didn't go with Ted instead of Jaime since Jaime is not as old as Ted. And we know the reason why I got this movie is for diversity inclusion points not because he was the most popular one He's just the most recent one

It's not that Jaime's Blue Beetle is the popular. It has more to do with timing. I'm sure that the second, Ted Kord, Blue Beetle will be back in the future with Booster Gold.

Jaime Reyes is the Mary Sue of the Blue Beetles. Ted Kord will always be my fave. He was just a dude in a costume. His genius intellect and tech didn't unlock the Scarab. Who knew all you needed to activate it was a Green Card. Jaime Reyes's so called popularity, is only due to the fact of more media exposure in the age of internet. In an alternate universe, Jaime is the Beetle that gets his head blown out. As for the upcoming movie...I predict Shazam box office numbers. Finally, comic characters almost never stay dead, and the POPULAR ones have multiple incarnations of them. Bat fam, Flash fam, Wonder fam, Super fam, ect. DC Comics is to blame for sloppy writing and consistent inconsistency of continuity. I should have done this video.

The decision to use the word 'fascist' to describe Batman in the movie trailer is questionable and may alienate some fans. While the creators of the film may have intended to generate controversy and interest in their movie, using loaded language to do so is unwarranted and completely inappropriate. As a fan of Blue Beetle in the comics and other DC media, I am disappointed by this choice and will not be watching the movie.
