Hi there everyone, thank you for watching my review of the AYN Odin 2. If you need a SD card for your new device you should check this out. It's the best current deal on Amazon (it's an affiliate link so you will support the channel at the same time ❤): amzn.to/45VgDSy
I love this thing but I dont know if I want to spend this much on just emulation. I already have a Powkiddy x55 for Atari through Dreamcast...and I love it for a budget handheld. So.... the Odin 2 would make N64 and DC emulation better than what I have now and add GC, PS2, Wii and most Switch. Not really sure if I want to spend for that. Think Im gonna wait another 6 months and see how the space plays out.
@@purge3883 nah. It plays up to PS1/GBA perfectly and I have full libraries for all systems PS1 and below on the PK already set up. So that means when I get the Odin 2 I can just focus on N64/DC/GC/PSP/PS2 and Switch. Ill use the PK for old school retro and Odin 2 for newer stuff.
hi man, im using odin 2 and im playing NFS Most Wanted. sometimes FPS got dropped and the music will slow, the game will slow too. im using openGL 3.5x, performance mode, Fan Smart. why still like that? what setting i must change it? thank you
Finally a way to play Harvest Moon Animal Parade on the go along with some other games like Klonoa & Luigi's Mansion. I managed to get HMAP setup on my phone & Steam deck but I don't always get around to my Steam Deck & my phone has battery issues so probably not a good idea to play on that unless needed. Only thing stopping me is saving up cause this would be a big perchase
Dude you know that the corners are supposed to be cut when you test the stick accuracy. Basically you complained that the circularity error wasn't bad enough.
Is this more worth it over the steam deck? I want to emulate games but also play some classic games like cod mw2 and black ops from the steam store. Can you also download emulators to the steam deck?
Well that’s a question only you can answer :) as I mention in the video the Odin 2 is the handheld I take with me when I’m out. Steam Deck and ROG Ally is for home gaming alone (in my case that is). If you want the best small handheld that money can buy right now, the Odin 2 is for you.
Does fortnite run at all since on the Orion pro it wouldn't run at all but multiple places online said epic would allow it but it only worked on the Odin lite
man i wish bills were not so much no way in hell i could afford this unless i sold my computers gpu........ will this replace it tho.... hmmmmmm #doubt
Yeah I wouldn't buy this thing unless you can afford throwing away $350 on a whim, which you can't (neither can I.) Not because it's bad, far from it. But because - chinese company, who knows if it will last or how much of a headache support would be if something goes wrong. At least with a Steam Deck you would get support in your own country and Valve is so big they can afford to support you well.
I have all of them, so I'm well aware of their strengths. The problem is that their size and the poor battery life make it so I never have the energy to take them outside of the house, and at home, I have a desktop PC that surpasses them all by far. That's where their problem lies. Odin 2 is the one I grab as soon as I'm heading out.
@@Techcravers Fair, but, you can't convince me Odin 2 is "pocketable" or that you'd just shove a $350 handheld in your pocket. This is still an expensive device to most people, they'd keep it in a protective case, and would worry about having it on the go. So I 100% do not see it as "pocketable." It's still too expensive and big for that.
@@patsk8872you are coping so hard, This is far more portable than most x86 handhelds. it's basically almost the same size as a switch lite, just thicker. If you're saying the switch lite isn't portable then i don't know what is. Sure you can make a distinction between portable and pocketable but that's just really grasping at straws at that point. This is the best compromise between portability, ergonomics and power currently and nothing comes close.
@@Techcravers That's a you problem. My Steam deck fits in my HP laptop backpack just fine. I use it everyday on my commute. I've marched days and nights with a full combat pack and a FN MAG machine gun during the time serving my country. A little backpack with a steam deck is nothing.
I’m completely new to this and I’m pretty hyped about this product. Can someone explain if I can play all games from PS1, PS2 or xbox360 on this. Also do I need to pay for all games or most of them free?
lmao these companies refuse to add a trackpad to their handhelds. that shit alone is a must on these handhelds for mouse control and they need gyroscope to make fps games to be more precise. thats why the steam deck does a lot of things right. power alone doesnt do it. lenovo go seems to understand that and its giving way more options than anything out there
Android is an incredibly mature OS that's been made with touch screens in mind. There's no reason to add a touchpad to a device running a mobile OS like Android.
@papa_NCF TouchPad allows for games that don't have native controller support to be playable on handhelds. Steam deck community has made so many different control schemes for games that only use mouse and keyboard to be playable on the steam deck. First person shooters are easier to aim on the steam deck due to the TouchPad and gyroscope. This is something the deck does better than any other handheld. The only one that seems to see that is Lenovo go handheld
@@kay_keik7842This is an android device, not a windows or other pc based os device... There is no need for any trackpad since everything is made specifically for touch controls, not a single thing is based on mouse and keyboard.. It's android... What are you on...
