The way it went full circle , starting with ad ahri and ending it with ad ahri . Congratulations Pékin for thé effort u put in this series and determination ❤
@@soumimi4495 I remember he did play lethality mid caitlyn but did he start the series back then or was it just a fun video that turned into a series with ad ahri right after ?
@@soumimi4495ok I checked and his actual climb started with Eve mid after caitlyn 😂my bad my memory is bad . The reason I remember ad ahri being his first is probably because it is the most off meta pick he did early on
@@otakusatanist honestly I don’t think so Eve mid and top is very good against melee matchups , because of her invisibility it is hard to assassin her and her roam potential is so good . even against ranged mages she does decent not the best but decent . While ad ahri is just regular ahri but worst and ahri wasn’t very good in the meta recently anyways so it is like playing a shitier version if herself
Congratulations! This is such a testiment to your skills as a player, you are a true master of the game. Thanks for the ride, hope you'll continue playing off-meta stuff, it's by far my most favourite content of yours
insanely proud of you. Its an amazing accomplishment to hit challenger in its own right. for you to do it while cycling through a variety of off meta picks is really an impressive feat. I don't know of anyone else who has hit challenger playing only off-meta picks. congratulations. Can't wait to see whats next in your arc.
Yeah there have been tons of offmeta onetricks in challenger, but no one doing first timing random picks in solo queue and hitting challenger off of pure skill That's INSANELY impressive
Not only did u reach challenger with a suboptimal champion or suboptimal condition's, u played multiple different picks with so many different playstyles at the highest of levels where small differences or mistakes play a huge role. Congratulations pekin. I hope u wont stop with off meta picks in high elo
and what's crazier is that we don't see everything that happened behind the screen. He has almost 600 games and there were many days that he spent HOURS playing to get a 20 min video because some of these were genuinely hard. He put so much effort into it to give us the best content
Now that this is over, I would really like a full on-meta climb, maybe play the most broken/meta champs at the moment or just normal midlaners which are picked more rarely, such as Viktor, Orianna, TF.. (at least they're rare in my low elo) I am curious how you play them and kind of 'prove' if/why they are meta.
I'm so proud of you, Pekin. There were some very rough games, but you always kept your cool and eventually reached Challenger which wasn't even the goal in the beginning. I also learned a lot from your vids
Congrats on reaching chall! Was a long journey to get to this point and as a viewer I enjoyed every part of it. Now that the training weights are off I wonder if it's time for something like rank 1 climb maybe
well done man! really entertainment videos in this channel, nice way of explain the champs and games. It's nice to see a real challenger player struggle in his matches. And most of all, it's amazing how good you are, to climb that far only with champs that are not good for that position. you are a beast! please continue like that, i'm surely will continue watching. Thanks.
What an adventure. In the beginning I really thought Masters would be the maximum, but as Pekin was going it looked more and more possible. In the end it was just a matter of time. And what a performance! You probably made quite a name for yourself in that server. I am waiting for the interviews. :D In all seriousness, great job! I'm all for the occasional off meta game on that account to keep it high elo if that's possible. ^^
Master or grandmaster is like his natural stable elo with these champs. To hit challenger he had to WORK for it, and limit his champion pool to 'less off meta'. I hope to see him playing ridiculous things in master and grandmaster for ages.
Thanks for this climb, was a great companion through the highs and lows of life. I hope you’ll continue doing off-meta content, but it doesn’t need to be a climb to be enjoyable ☺️
WELL DONE! You're literally my favourite league youtuber - you have such a measured and rational outlook on the game when you play - no screaming and raging etc. which makes you so enjoyable to watch, and your game knowledge is just beyond impressive. Thank you for the great content :)
Congrats!!!! Also in other news: Anklespankin is coming back to streaming. It would be lovely to have you both in the same game. Wishfull thinking, hoping this one will come true :)
congrats Pekin! very impressive stuff and I’ve watched every single video for the last few months, extremely enjoyable and comforting to watch. look forward to more off-meta pick vids!
loved this series pekin, always been looking out for new videos. You’ve played so many wacky off-meta build’s, it’s time for a sweaty meta climb next >:)
I think this makes pekin so superior to other players. Last season he had 3 chall accounts at the same time, now he played borderline troll picks to challenger, pretty sure 90% of other challengers couldn’t accomplish this. And when he plays normally he plays what he enjoys , never a meta slave. Think rank 1 would be very realistic if he would try meta champs patch by patch
congrats on finishing the climb!!! amazing series, showcased a lot of interesting characters/playstyles for mid. Excited for more videos in the future!
This whole series proves that with a good attitude and game knowledge, regardless of what your team mates are doing, you can be the difference in your games and hit your goals. Well done Pekin.
Congrats Pekin, great series. And while i agree it shows it is possible, i think the fact it took 600 games also shows for a lot of people, they can't climb cause they don't have time. I don't play 600 games in a year. And i find league just takes so long to climb it rewards time spent more than skill to an extent.
i'm just too bad man, i don't know how to play with unlocked camera and its really hard to keep an eye on the map(the Soraka that didn't see you and you died , 100000% would be me), so seeing ppl clam up is kinda cool and doing it with off-meta is not easy man, i am amazed how can you pull that off , and congrats on hitting Challenger \o/
Reposting: Peking 👑 make an unranked to challenger support series pls! there are no good support youtubers (core doesnt post enough, bizzle is okay, sho is good but inconsistent). I literally looked on r/supportlol and I saw comments saying "looking for content like pekin's educational videos but for support." And I love your bard videos, even though I feel like theyre usually not educational support videos. Plus, I spend so much time watching your Zoe videos, and literally will never play her so I would love to spend time actually learning!
Onward we climb, day 143 of asking Pekin to play full attack speed ahri for the off-meta climb, AND BOYS DID HE DO IT!!! Mr Pekin of Wolves, I tip my hat to you, the actual GOAT of off meta! Everyone this has been a journey 143 days in the making, and it is finally time. So buckle up, grab some popcorn, and watch this wonderful man play some ad/on hit/attack speed ahri :D
I have been killing it with karma full ap mid, you should definitely try. They buffed her q and ult+q damage and the w heal is crazy good. Go full cdr and have so much utility and aoe damage
Congrates, brother, you really showed noobs like us that everything and anything in lol is possible..😊😂 Btw Challenger is like everything for us. Keep up the good content. Thankyou!
THIS is some good off meta content... not the all caps "Omg riot wtf this full ap samira build is broken" people going against bronze and iron people well played Pekin and congratz!
Did Pekin get First Blood? Game 1: Nope. Win streak lost! Last streak was of 2. First Blood was by enemy Viego around the 0:33 mark. Game 2: Nope First Blood was by enemy Nilah around the 27:31 mark. Pekin's First Bloods: 15 Allies' First Bloods: 29 Enemies' First Bloods: 39 Win streak: 0 Lose streak: 2 Highest win streak: 3 Highest lose streak: 13 Total games registered: 86
Its amazing that you can get to challenger with a 51% win rate. I would've thought it would have to be higher. Only 11 more wins than losses makes up all your lp gain.
