In the event that Banjo-Tooie gets added to NSO, the Joystick tilt may actually be an issue since multiple Jiggies require tiptoeing (if you’re playing casually at least).

To answer the question at the end: Yes, I think they will. It's actually more likely that they make a bluetooth Gamecube Controller than a Gamecube Online app, since they still manufacture wired Gamecube Controllers, so most of the manufacturing can be reused from those. They just have to lightly redesign the circuit board to accommodate a battery, as well as add the missing ZL, Home, Minus and Capture buttons. A Gamecube Online app is unlikely because even just 10 games would probably be about 15GB, which almost fills the Switch's built-in storage. Unless they do some compression, but that would likely add decompression loading times that would oppose the "instant access" philosophy of NSO.

Thanks for checking out this combo. This is 90% the reason why I want a couple of these NSO controllers. A shame they are way off calibration and seem a bit laggy. Hopefully that’s mostly the adapters fault. Hoping for an adapter which takes care of memory paks as well. Micro SD slot and button combos to cycle through slots of packs or something like that. And button combo to switch between mem pak. and rumble. Heck why not have a transfer pak mode while we’re at it😂

Honestly, your thoughts about Switch Online at the beginning are basically my thoughts as well.

you should try the blueretro adapter. its aDIY thing but pretty simple, and the stick works very close to an original N64 controller. and you dont need an actual rumble pack for the rumble to work

Wow, that unnuanced rumble. Seems like the controller would be rumbling more often than not.

TLDW: You need a 3rd party adapter that is made to support all kinds of bluetooth controllers. The controls also dont get bound properly.

It’d be sick if Nintendo themselves made adapters like this one that were more accurate but I would assume they would be pricey compared to some third party adapter

The rumble issue is really too bad. Hopefully they will update the adapter firmware to fix it, unless its a hardware limitation of the adapter. Also I wish there was no need for a rumble pak for it to work, maybe if they made a new version they could add a switch on the adapter to enable rumble. The analog stick sensitivity might also be an issue with going slowly or trying to go at a certain angle (between 2 of the 8 directions). Otherwise I guess its still a great way to play a real N64. Would be nice to see a comparison with those third party controllers especially wireless ones.

Wait a minute. Does the IntecGaming adapter also work with the Hyperkin Admiral or the recent Retro Fighters Bluetooth Brawler 64 (designed for Nintendo Switch and its N64 for NSO app)? I have a Hyperkin Admiral, but I broke the N64 receiver not too long ago, and my Admiral became useless outside of PC and Brook Wingman adapter use.

Strange question, but is there any way to adjust the stick sensitivity on Wii U? I am using my NSO N64 controller for Wii U N64 games. It works great but the stick does seem too sensitive as you mentioned here, as in you reach a full tilt before the stick hits the gate.

i think ima wait for a better adaptor with better anolog mapping, because it would feel a bit weird for me with a square gate
