Bro Andrew is so good at Ad-Reads that it makes this podcast the only one I’ve ever listened too without skipping Ad-Reads. He makes them entertaining & actually really enjoyable by switching them up & not saying the same thing every time. Strange. I love Andrew, but I've always disliked his ad-reads in particular. I think he tries too hard to sound "professional", which I can't fault him for. But the sudden change in tone of voice and inflection is too jarring for me personally. I skip most of the ad-reads anyways so it doesn't matter though.

I just watched a documentary on this while on acid. The Greek computer didn’t use electricity. It used a series of gears and you would input the date and it would show you what the stars looked like at that day, or it will predict the future patterns based off of old patterns. But it got lost in a shipwreck. Pretty crazy stuff

They were three times the size if I’m not mistaken, and had mixed a number of traditions and advancements from the areas they conquered literally becoming a giant empire of innovation. Romans overengineered their buildings to an extreme degree, which is why they still stand today. Nowadays we make buildings in a way where they can be torn down without too much hassle, but with exactly enough structural integrity to not collapse withing a few lifetimes.

To be completely honest here, I had a thing for my "cousin-in-law" back when I was 11 yrs old. I was a loner kid, tho, and I really didn't talk to girls at all. (She's my "cousin-in-law" cuz she is the daughter of my uncle's ex-wife) I'm glad it never went anywhere, cuz she has a ton of daddy and mommy issues that she's been dealing with + a toxic household.

I think that the most important week in the history of humanity may just be the Fall of Rome. This is coming from a history teacher. I could obviously be very wrong, but this is the best thing off the top of my head.
