But should the members of the infamous and well-known Official Podcast contribute to this continuing trend in the internet-space? In an internet world of mind-numbing trends and continuous reaction videos, the correct decision is to ignore this trend and think of more creative ideas for the special and most anticipated event of 2017, Episode 52. Body paragraph: The abundance of pepper taste reaction videos have overcrowded not only RU-vid but also other social media outlets such as Twitter and Instagram. And considering this, the fans of the legendary prophet of Brendan Fraser have been graciously exposed to The Official Podcast expect top quality original content that has been delivered ever since the entity “penguinz0” has been created. So if the ghost pepper challenge is such an insanely large trend in the RU-vid market, why would the originally funny and clever Jackson, Andrew, Charlie, and Kaya add their two cents to this pointless thing that will eventually blow over? Counter argument: Now, some may think it would be funny at first to watch these people we love eat hot foods. And that would be true. But that fun would eventually blow over in an hour-long Podcast. And coupling that with the long term preparedness required for an event like this, when a no-cost laid back podcast would be a special treat on its own. Conclusion: in essence, the official podcast should not use the overused ghost pepper challenge as that it’s gotten stale and bland as let’s plays or have gotten over the years. Our entertainment in RU-vid has been plagued with uninteresting reaction videos, pointless huge business crowding uploads each day, and Maddox. Maybe if such godlike figures like the JACK gods went against this sort of plagued content spreading across the website then they would set and example and maybe possibly ONE DAY...sue Maddox.

I feel like Kaya is really underestimating how difficult it is to efficiently do anything after eating a pepper that hot. They can have no idea how any of them will react to it, never mind how much to eat of it so they can still have a decent podcast.

Eating hot peppers on the podcast doesn't make a good content, but 15 minutes of bashing someone for reasonably pointing that out doesn't either, so I guess it's up to quality standards here.

I totally agree with Charlie. Spiciness differs from person to person. My older brother has done the bdubs challenge for fun and likes the taste. The man can literally eat something that has shit on it from the anus of Satan himself and won’t be bothered by the spice. While for me, I can barely eat pussy boy mild wings without persperating enough sweat to fill the Pacific Ocean. They should still do the pepper challenge but whatever is really spicy for them.

I wanna hear Charlie coming up with new excuses while everybody else has already eaten the pepper. And I want to hear Kaya be in pain.

I feel like Charlie is right about the pepper challenge because it just doesn’t seem logical to do an audio only or even a video podcast after eating the pepper because there’s no point in dealing with that much pain and frustration for the fans just to make content that wouldn’t be fully entertaining and just consist of people dealing with the peppers repercussions plus if Charlie doesn’t want to do it then he shouldn’t have to. #FuckThePepperChallenge

On the ol pepper debate. A whole podcast of eating a spicy boy will probably get hard to listen to and probably repetative after getting delusional from the spice. you're tongues will go numb and it will be just hard to think. *However* If you do an episode and the last 10 minutes is you eating and freaking out over the heat, it'll be a good end to a show and you wont have to sit and suffer the whole time. Could even do a cheeky video recording and upload it somewhere.

You guys should each eat a pepper, but one at a time, just space them out by 20-30 min. So that the full pain can be felt by the pleb. And you other guys can pester the person who ate the pepper with questions

As a experienced hot pepper eater. I recommend you find a pepper you all can agree to eat together. You don't have to eat the entire pepper all at once, make sure you have bread, milk and some sort of alcohol on hand. I'd say three to four jalapeños or three habenero. The hotness isn't really all that bad, if you're prepared for it.

Charlie is right, it really wouldn't be good content to eat a Carolina Reaper lol. I mean all you would hear is "AHHHHH IT HURTS" and the sound of four men guzzling milk for a whole hour. Why not think of something else to do besides eating peppers?

I want to fully elaborate on this pepper issue. I think charlie is right in some aspects because when I watched the first pepper podcast I didn't think it was the best thing ever. Buuuuuuuut having you guys on camera taking it even if it was for five minutes would be extremely entertaining. The guest on the podcast idea would be really funny too but I get that it's a special family moment. If you guys prepare extra content you could do to contrast the peppers properly would be pawesome. I don't know what that would be, you guys are the creative ones. I say do it if you want to put the effort in.

Haven't watched it but, are you guys really getting sued? Am watching as I go but an upfront answer yes or no would be nice.

In case you're still reading comments and want help with spice cures: Get whole milk ready. Do not drink too much milk for relief or you will vomit. Instead, use the cold milk like mouthwash (be vigorous) and spit it out after a bit. Get ice cubes, just pop one in and suck on it till you need a new one. Eat a mix of fats and carbs before the pepper, breads and fatty things will help dilute the pepper so you don't suffer when it's on it's way out. Fiber is good to have as well, just don't stuff yourself. Using that you guys should be fine, the spiciness wont last a whole hour, after about 20 minutes effects will begin to wind down.
