I know i'm kinda late on this, but I'll leave this in case someone finds it interesting. Alfred Nobel didn't receive the Nobel Prize for inventing Dynamite, he set up the Nobel Prize with the vast majority of his fortune after his brother died and newspapers got them mixed up. Having seen that he was known as "the dealer of death" and a money hungry war mongerer he was devasted and set up the Nobel Prize for 5 disciplines of his choosing. So tldr he didn't want Devastation and Dynamite to be his Legacies.

The problem I have with gene editing is people will create 8 feet tall basketball players and extremely good looking kids to create a dystopian black mirror type future where everyone is a supermodel with the same face structure, intelligence, etc. It's disgusting to think about it and I hope it is outlawed completely.

April fools jokes. I got an email from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night via kickstarter. It was advertising a new edition of the game that came encased in a bloodbag that contained 0.5 liters of Koji Igarashi's blood. Limited to 10 copies worldwide. It was complete with renders and artwork, fully labeled. I found that one pretty funny, and being kinda special I had to double take it before I realised it was April 1st.

To clarify the Alfred Nobel thing, the reason he started the Nobel prize was because rumors got out that he was dead and newspapers started releasing slandering obituarys, saying he died alone, having contributed nothing but violence to the world. This fucked him up so much so he decided to start a prize that he'd give to the people that helped mankind progress and prosper.
