I don’t care what other fabulous attributes Athens, GA might provide as to a big college football experience. The problem is it’s just too damn hot there for early in the season football games, especially day games. If you love hot/steamy weather fine. But, if your idea of an enjoyable football game experience isn’t feeling like you’ve been put in a 250 degree oven, getting drenched with sweat, or possibly suffering a heat stroke, than a football game in Athens, GA in September isn’t where you want to be.
