- Kurashiki is a beautiful historic city in Okayama prefecture, Japan. There was so much to do and see there so if you're in the area I highly recommend checking it out! You can stay in one of their various non-profit guesthouses like Yurinan (u-rin.com) or Igusa, or stay at a ryokan!

Here's the promotional video I was in!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mR83_A2ye4k.html So this project was commissioned by Earth Cube Japan, a non-profit organization that promotes the preservation of historic Japanese structures and travel across the country. They created guest houses like Yurinan in this video, which have been reformatted from traditional houses that are more than 100 years old. (More info: goo.gl/DgDXHp) I was NOT paid to promote them in this video! But given its mission and NPO status I'm a big fan of what they do and give them all my support. ♥ They were really fantastic to work with and the promotional video we shot was honestly one of the best experiences I've had in Japan. We filmed over a total of four days, waking up at 6am and finishing between 10-11 at night (3am one night for our celebration party), but I never felt tired or impatient because it was all SO fun and everyone was just hilarious and great to hang around! I wanna go back to Kurashiki! ~(° ▽ °)~

"We also climbed a mountain" - I like how that was just casually mentioned between the offering ritual and the pastoral boat ride. Kinda like saying "we went for a stroll down the street with a cool lamp, had a lovely boat ride down the canal tha-- oh, we also defeated a cyborg dinosaur in a dance-off in jet packs over a cliff... not sure how safe that was, but then we got to try some weaving, so..." - thumbs up for the casual mountain-conquest.

+Rachel & Jun Good morning Rachel! I did the German subtitles once again. Three things: Please add the little note about the letter ß again if you remember it. Second: In German, we make a difference between you (singular) and you (plural). My question is: When you say something like "Btw, if you wanna watch the video..." whom should I address? You, as a singluar person, or you as a group of people watching this video? And thirdly, cherish your life and enjoy it to the fullest for almost everyone watching this video will wish to be you at some point. Well at least I am a bit envious ;) Is Jun feeling better already? I will keep my fingers crossed for him here in cold Luzern. Also thanks to Earth Cube Japan, I would love to see future collaborations with this group in your videos because those videos are awesome!

+Euki I don't really think it matters if it's singular or plural since it makes sense both ways, I used the plural form in the portuguese (portugal) subtitles because there are multiple viewers.

These are my favorite kind of videos that you make! I really love them because they show the many different places to see in Japan. Thank you so much for this video. I kid you not, but your channel really is the channel that inspired me to go to Japan 100%. I've already been once, yet I was unable to visit any places like this (I was in Shibuya and Urayasu.) I've been watching your videos for about 4 years now, and each time you upload, it gives me more inspiration and motivation to become a vlogger just like you and pursue my dreams. Your videos really help me get through my rough times. Whenever I fall into a depressed state, I always watch one of your videos. They help me remember my goal of returning to Japan and experience it just like you do. And because of your videos, I want to become a vlogger like you two so I can inspire others like you two do for me. This sounds exaggerating, but your videos did help me get through some tough times in my life. Especially when I was even thinking about suicide. But if I was to do something like that, I couldn't become someone as inspiring and caring as you and your husband. Thank you so much for being such a supportive RU-vidr, even to a small channel and person like me! I hope to one day meet you and film a video together! Haha - Amber / HanamiDango
