I was a young kid in the 60’s. we had a 44 and a 44 Special. The 44 Special was considered too big and heavy to rake with. It was only used for field work. The 44 and a Minneapolis Z did the light work like haying. Times have sure changed.
Try running the hitch higher to make the rake kick the hay up Our IH rake had. Tall tires on it and didn’t kick the hay put smaller tires on. Worked great for the last 20 years. Good luck. Enjoy the vids
@@jeremycherny2041 lol.. we have it happen all the time, mower misses them, rake puts them in the windrow.. it's amazing how much 💩we find in the feeders. Had chunks the size of my arms and legs.. and no damage to the baler..

Ya. Our old 44 was loud as hell. Yours got Charylin PTO mounted hydraulic unit?? Good raking tractor. Learn to use a grease gun on Standard Armstrong steering!!!!
Plus 30c is 86f.. currently at 9:50am, we are 92°f , almost+35c.. supposed to be about+45c today 🥵🥵🥵🥵 WTF!! We are 50 miles north of the 45th parallel.. not on the 🤬equator!!!! Get it done!! We got to get a few things done before it gets hotter than hell!
