Liam Roberts That's how I took it after I posted. Funny thing is Being Human is the only time I've liked Vampires who were very un Vampire like. They didn't need blood to survive, it was more like an addiction. They cast reflections, shadows and had no trouble with daylight. But they work perfectly like that in the Being Human world.

Yeah, that's right. And also, they oddly seem like a more realistic vampire, like if vampirism was real, it'd be exactly like the ones we see in Being Human. Though according to the Wiki, the ancestors of modern day vampires were nocturnal and photosensitive, so they can be irritated by the sunlight (depending on how strong it is). I suppose that's why you never see vampires in this series go out in short shirts and or vests. It's a shame the series didn't continue actually, because I believe they could've whipped up some really good storylines. for example, they could include the original Asian vampire brothers (either one of them would do, if they can't get both of them) as a major threat

Liam Roberts When it comes to Vampires, literally anything written about them that passes into public awareness is viable lore. Sadly that includes Twilight. Before Hollywood, Vampires could walk abroad in daylight if they had to, but they were as weak and vulnerable as a living human. And according to European lore, a Vampire could only be killed during the daylight in it's coffin. You had to drive a stake made of certain types of wood considered holy, such as rosewood for example. A priest had to be present to administer last rites as the stake was pounded into the Vampire's heart. Then the mouth had to be stuffed with garlic flowers and the head removed. Finally, you had to separately cremate the two pieces and scatter the ashes over two different consecrated grounds. I doubt Buffy would have enjoyed that very much.
