oh, love the tip with the toothbrush for making the stars on the cloak (i LOVE starry cloaks :D)! on my Neave Blacktalon Stormcast model i painted stars inside her cloak; i painted white dots and then glazed over some of them with pink, red and blue to get some variation and a bit of "glow" to them.
Super job, watched this while waiting for paint to dry on the older model of Teclis! At 72, my eyes and hands won't allow me to get too detailed, but I enjoy bringing these older figs to life. They are getting a rebirth as an Elf army for Oathmark! Love your videos! Keep the faith man!
Amazing as always, can't wait for the Phoenix and the Chariot. I am just remembering playing Teclis and making my opponents wish they'd never been born, so many sweet combos.
Great video!! Ii's been fun watching your since the start, 'cause here we can really see some of the progress you're made!! This was awesome, and you should be happy with this result (which I guess you are :p ) this is a more modern style of painting rather than the old one, so I'd love to see you try this on a modern similar sculpted miniature with even more details on it! Patiently waiting for more videos! Also I'm very excited for when you get around to the Phoenix eventually!
Wow. You are amazing. Give yourself some credit. Love the toothpick idea. Are you using the contrast paints as washes? I am not familiar with contemporary games workshop paints.
Thanks dude! Glad you like it! 🙌 I’m going to get my web-store up and running in the next month or so! I have a bunch of stickers sitting here ready to go 👍😊
Awesome job Dietz! Like yourself, I've had this fulla sitting to the side for years waiting for my painting skills to improve. Definitely got the inspo now to clean it up and give it a crack 🤙🏽
Been looking forward to this since you announced it dude, and obviously the paint job doesn't disappoint - it's stunning. Really love the advice you drop in as well though. Two pieces really chimed with me today - leaving my heros till I had more skill is exactly what I did when I was younger and it led to me both not enjoying paining as much and not gaining the skill - you approach centrepiece minis differently, that kind of the point! Secondly I also seem attracted to minis/armies with loads of detail and they're great, but some of the most fun I had painting last year was probably actually a single 2nd edition tyranid termagant that was a bit different and gave me a break. Good advice.
I love the "metal mini appreciation" vibe that you put out man! Please continue your great great work. I know there are plenty of us watching that think he exact same way. Cheers!
I am a Dark Elf player, you know how I feel about those damn High Elves and their shenanigans! However this guy has so much drip that I would consider stealing everything! Awesome paintjob Deets
He's a handsome fella. I'm totally with you on the purple accents. I wish I had your skills with freehand. Mr Shakey-hands here can stir a cup of coffee without even trying, but you have it down man. Great painting.
when i was a teenager in 2000 all me and my friends could afford was to split a Starter box set. we did buy Codexs we liked and used old wheetbix or cardboard boxs cut into squares as proxies. we had so much fun trying diffrent armys but we never got around to collecting armys. i love seeing you bring some of my old favs to life. my mate never played a high elf game without Teclis. him rolling a fail on the first round of magic was epic he spent so many points i think teclis was riding a dragon at the time my friend was gutted when he died. no one told me and my firends as teenagers that we needed to water down our paints i wish we had youtube back then for painting tips. Keep up the good work mate thanks for letting us live through you. also the goblin and sqig you did chefs kiss.
Hell yeah man! Getting good use out of those weetbix boxes 👌 I feel for your mate! He’s probably still scarred 😂 thanks so much for the support, I appreciate it!
