Great video! I love dark rides and haunted houses so much! This reminds me of a funhouse at the Michigan State Fair in the 70s. I was just a kid, but I am still traumatized as an adult by that rolling barrel and the moving stairs! lol 😂
Grew up not far from the park. My parents met there roller skating. It was the first amusement park I went to as a child in the 60s. When my daughter was born in 1984, that was the first park she went to . When she got older it was the first place she worked for a summer job as a teen. Bushkill Park always will be a great part of our families life.
Used to work at Bushkill park as a kid. Was stationed at the Haunted Pretzel with Elwood who would send me in there to push the carts out when they would become stuck. lol Great times!
This looks amazing and I didn't even know that they restored and fixed it up. I need to come down and visit to see it for myself. As a young kid and as a young teenager I use to enjoy going to the skating ring there. I could be there for hours, from the time they open till the time they close nothing but skating or riding the rides there
Loved your video. I took my sons for the 120th celebration also. The barrel wasn’t turning when we went because of the heat. I saw a couple who were in their 60’s go down the slide like they did when they were dating.
I used to ride through the pretzel all the time when I was a kid and remember it well. The first thing was strings dragging over your face in the dark. Then an old police siren would go off and red lights would flash (I always held my ears). Then you'd face a purple spiral under a black light. (It was similar to the one at the end of this video). The car you were in jerked about and lights would come on to reveal different scenes. One was a woman mannequin standing in a bathtub holding some garment up in front of her (I never really got that one.) One time they forgot to turn the lights out. It was never the same after that.
That funhouse used to be a lot more fun! I sat on and fell off of that horse many many times! The Barrel of Fun used to turn by itself. So much that used to be in that fun house is gone now. It should all be put back even if it needs to be custom made!
