Molly’s journey to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games has been intense-each race a challenge, every setback a testament to her resolve. From her early BMX days to the biggest stage in the world, her story embodies a relentless drive to be the best.
Two years ago, I first filmed with Molly as she counted down the days to the Olympics. Even then, it was clear nothing could stand in her way-not even a life-threatening infection. Seeing her growth into the incredible athlete and role model she is today is so inspiring.

In less than two months, from ideation to delivery, I poured my heart into this mini-doc. It was a joy to put together but also nearly all-consuming. There were days when editing progress felt as though it was going backward, but as Molly’s coaches reinforced, there is a “process to progress.” For me, that meant showing up every day, no matter what. I took that page out of Molly’s playbook.
Having a flexible vision mixed with spontaneous inspiration made the creative process incredibly fun and rewarding. Whether it was Tyler intuitively nailing shot after shot or my mom staying up late to help me break through creative blocks, the credit truly goes to my grandma for her unbelievable and slightly strange skills in building camera mounts-with saws and power drills. The point is, I had the best creative minds on the job. Opening up my creative process for the first time taught me that collaboration, when done right, yields the greatest return. I guess this means I don't have to be so solitary when creating.
I look forward to pushing my craft to new places and working to tell better stories. Thanks for watching!
