Hi Jim! I was putting together a lot of kissing covers for Valentine’s Day and it was so extensive that I sort of went down a rabbit hole and I have not resurfaced since, lol! Another fun theme for me is Universal Monster covers. Fun things to look for out in the wild. Keep up the great work and enjoy the Olympics!
That was an "ouch" on the package. That aside, thanks for exploring other avenues of collecting outside of runs or particular keys. It displays the depth and individuality this hobby has for all collectors. Thanks for sharing!
Collecting comics can take many forms and they are all valid. My own collecting includes getting all printings of The Killing Joke from 1st to 10th (the 9th is very expensive) and buying every copy I find of Marvel's The Life Story Of Pope John Paul II. That particular Treasury Edition is new to me. Ah Treasury Editions, such happy memories. Nice range of covers Jim but you're right, the Partridge Family poster should now be high on your Wants list. And while you're at it, don't forget the comics series from Charlton, 21 issues, and the three hardcover UK Annuals (1973 to 1975) from World Distributors.
Odd that Scooby has a team where he can only communicate with 2 other teammates... Dyno Mutt (also voiced by Daws) and Capt Caveman ( NOBODY ever knew what HE was saying!)
Hi Jim, thank god it was not an expensive book. But it is a nuissance, anyway. The Oscar for bad packaging has to go for one half to the buyer for this unsufficient packaging and for the other half to the UPPS for bottomless stupidity.
I believe those two Superman Action's had basically the same story! He had to pretend he was useless because villains were hoping to drain his powers, but he didn't use them so they couldn't!
