I went to a store particularly to try this on and maybe buy it. I ended up with an SMP300. It is lovely, but the world time section appeared so small, especially the 24hr ring that I found it hard to read it and it seemed overly busy. I Really wanted to like it tbh but for the size of the watch, somehow it looked a little busy and illegible (to me). Great vid as ever!

This is a favorite of mine and might be on my list for next year. We have the same wrist size so I’m concerned some by it’s size. I’m also thinking of the Montblanc Geosphere which comes in at a lower price.

I tend to like smaller watches, but it fits fairly well. So, I’d say if you like a watch a bit on the bigger size don’t worry it should be good. But if you tend to wear 36-40mm watches this will feel different.

I'm also a smaller watch advocate, but to be fair I reckon the legibility might be compromised if they go anything smaller than this due to the worldtimer dial design.

@@kevinmosto That's a fair point, though in this case it seems they could have made the bezel and case a bit narrower without reducing the dial size. And there are other worldtimers, both modern and vintage, that have been done legibly in 40mm or less.

Big value for that amazing dial and cool complication. Just a bit too large and polish too blingy for me. I'll always admire it but never own it. One realization that spoiled worldtimers for me: you have to keep up with not only whether a given city observes Daylight Savings, but the date at which they change it. Not an issue if you work consistently with one city but I can't confidently just pick any location and know the time.

A good no nonsense review Guy. A great looking watch where the 'decoration' is also functional. I would almost go as far as saying this is a functional work of art. Even that I travel little these days I would consider this watch as I have regular work calls with other places around the globe. I have the discontinued non map titanium AT GMT white dial that serves me very well but the at a glance view of the world I would be able to get a view many other cities times as well as the GMT. Thanks again for sharing.

Sewn so many videos on this watch didn't really learn anything new but great close shots and yes its a big watch which is a downside that's why Patek is so expensive because it's slim and slick
