Vatican II already created a new church in the 60's. The Conciliar Church is just one of the 40.000 Protestant Sects. It is in no way Catholic. No Francis isn't the Pope, we've been without a pope since then either. A child could figure this out.

God will not leave us confused and lost. We have men followers of Chist the Lord. I thought that the development of doctrine is leading us into destruction. In fact that seems the case. The union of masons and jesuits can not be the road to follow, but to reject vigorously. The truth will make us free. I was blind now the Lord is leading us to the light.

With respect, Fr. Jenkins, I didn't understand what Eric Sammons wrote in his Oct. 9th article the same way you are interpreting it. It does not seem to me at all that Sammons is being inconsistent. I do not see a conflict with the laity resisting Francis' desire to change church doctrine by recognizing that he doesn't have the authority to do that as pope. Also, I agree with Sammons that we've given the pope too much power. Why should he have the power to move bishops around or remove them from their office on a whim?

@aaronaukema1284
@aaronaukema1284 10 месяцев назад
Sammons is, on the one hand, saying that Bergoglio's innovations are "restoring" a concept of the Papacy. On the other, Sammons is saying that Bergoglio wants to create a totally new church. The two are NOT compatible. If he is restoring the papacy, then he is not doing anything "new". If he is doing anything "new", he is not restoring the papacy, but transforming it. Sammons is suffering from "Francis is pope, stupid. Shut up!" syndrome. He is attempting to justify Bergoglio as possibly being pope, while at the same time destroying the Church. Further, Sammons' claim contradicts what the Church has taught in her Magisterium, and specifically what Pius XI teaches in Quas Primas: that the Church is PERENNIALLY protected from teaching any error (on faith and morals) whatsoever. Sammons assumes that the primacy of the Pope, taught consistently throughout the centuries, was an error, which Pius XI says is not possible. In short. Sammons, in seeking to rationalize Bergoglio as pope, has to reject the Magisterium of the Church, and presume that, at some point, the Holy Ghost forgot to preserve Her in all truth.
@2SkyesMama
@2SkyesMama 10 месяцев назад
@@aaronaukema1284 Do,you disagree with what Sammons wrote here? “For more than a millennium, most bishops in the Church were not selected by the pope. In fact, it wasn’t until the 19th century (there’s that century again!) that the pope chose every bishop in the Church. For most of Church history, a bishop was selected locally, and then that selection was sent to Rome for what was usually a rubber-stamp confirmation.”
@aaronaukema1284
@aaronaukema1284 10 месяцев назад
@@2SkyesMama Sammons is being selective. He is "forgetting" about the Investiture Controversy, in which kings claimed authority to appoint bishops against the claim of the popes to that authority. The popes CLAIMED that the authority was theirs and theirs alone, as early as the 11th and 12th centuries. It should be noted that pope Gregory VII, by placing the Holy Roman Empire under interdict until Henry gave in, won that battle, and the popes have HAD the authority to appoint bishops uncontested since then. That they chose to delegate such authority does not mean they didn't have it. In addition, we know that all appointments needed to be approved by the Supreme Pontiff, which again infers the Holy Father was the final say. St. Thomas Becket was chosen by the bishops of England...but he didn't have jurisdiction until it came from the pope.

@@pattican700 Many, actually. For instance, Boniface VIII infallibly declared that submission to the Roman Pontiff was necessary for salvation. That is often left out of discussions on infallibility. "Ex Cathedra" infers that he is speaking as the Supreme Pastor, the Successor of Peter. There are many who posit that Pius XI used this in Casti Canubii when he condemned contraception.

Greetings Father. Sure wish you lived near me. I am just a woman Father. Im completely Traditional Catholic. It was St. Therese of the Child Jesus who brought the VALID priest to me. No joke. It personally is NOT for me to DECLARE Francis is or isnt the pope. It is not my place or station in life to have that kind of authority. Do I hold a opinion which way I sway? Yes. But is only an opinion. It will be revealed by Holy Mother Church and Our Lady & Our Lord. Im trying to save my family & extended family , to convert them out of N.O. church as well as fundalmentalist ( whooo sticky) & a son who has gone Protestant 😥 I have a devotion to the Sorrowful Mother & Sacred Heart. All foretold. Our Lady of LaSalet & Our Lady of Fatima. And the more he does to destroy the more clarity will come to those who pray for it. It WILL become clearer. Therese says confidence leads to love. Our Lady has truly kept me from error, heresy & lies. I asked her for this. She has been true to this. I personally have no " valid " priest currently in my life. Many many spiritual communions & rosaries. Do I cry for the current state of everything YES I do. But I know God is in control. Perserverance!! One thing- i have encountered several & online Sedev. To be honest they are usually in your face or sarcastic if you even hold what I stated above. That is unbecoming & a lack of humility period. I pray for them. Zeal is one thing..... yeah. St. Therese oro pro nobis.🌹🙏

I'm sorry but I don't see anything wrong with what Pope Francis said. He didn't say he was building a new Church. The Church MUST change. Have you seen attendance in the Catholic Church? There is hardly anyone there! Pope Francis is following Jesus' teachings of "loving one another as Jesus has loved us." Pope Francis is talking about blessing gay persons but not their sin. They are to be CHASTE LIKE ALL OF US who are not married. There is a "difference" between a person and their sin. For 10 years you've been accepting of the Pope and now when he is asking for change and inclusion of ALL people like Jesus did in His time, then you are hypocritical. Do you not see that you are doing exactly what Our Lady was saying "Bishops against Bishops, Cardinal against Cardinals." We must pray for unity and for the Pope. I think I'm the only person who supports our Beloved Pope. What a sin of others. Have you watched the Synod? It's on Vatican News every day in a briefing. It is beautiful. You wouldn't say all this if you actually watched the Synod!

Have you read the prophecy of St. Francis of Assissi? Here it is: "Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi" "AT THE TIME OF THIS TRIBULATION A MAN, NOT CANONICALLY ELECTED, WILL BE RAISED TO THE PONTIFICATE, WHO, BY HIS CUNNING, WILL ENDEAVOUR TO DRAW MANY INTO ERROR AND DEATH. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer."
