The on going struggle with Pixel Gun 3D 

*Before we get into today's video I'd like to cover a few things, no this isn't me quitting on the spot!* *I'm trying to voice the struggles I have not only as a Pixel Gun 3D player but, also as a content creator. I simply can not create unique content as everything in this game has been done with no help from the developers in terms of innovation. Updates are so repetitive* *This game reflects me, my content reflects them.* *Just adding new weapons, same styled events etc just doesn't cut it anymore.* *This content style is boring! it's boring to watch, it's boring to make.* *The same stuff we has released in modern Pixel Gun 3D was happening back in 2017/2018 - It did work back then as it was fun, new and fresh* *I'd also like to say the developers I have contact with are great, they know I am incredibly frustrated and I am not having fun. They are good people and I have alot of respect for them!* *I don't know who makes the big decisions for this game, but all I can say is the way they release content is killing content creator for this game. Have you ever noticed why there are no new creators in the cc program? Well it's simple! there is nothing new to make* *Once the remaining creators leave, move on, quit... I can tell you this will be the real downfall for Pixel Gun 3D! content creators for any game are important for video game economies* thanks for reading.

i find myself not even wanting to play because i know itll be the same thing every time. Ultimatum spam, galactic treasurer spam, 3cat spam. Just nothing new and nothing ever changes. Devs are like “yeah we hear you” then ignore every problem and throw 3 new shitty weapons in thatll be forgotten and 1 new weapon thatll terrorize lobbies for a month or two. Like whats the point

I remember the old days. Weapons used to unique not in their mechanics but in the way they fire, from where they fire and the gameplay you'd get, that was fun, little quirks the weapons had. Now they just add mostly cancerous mechanics trying to get the players attention and that is boring. The constant cancer is boring...

Ecko theres a map called "City of the dead" which was one of the 2013 pixel gun maps, it never came back in any sort of way even 11 years later and it was forgotten to time

8:59 you are getting confused. What the “ads unique effect” means is things like particle effects and a different shooting and reload sounds, just look at the older skins (E.g “Altered Fast Death” “Crystal Cycler” “Christmas Ronin”) The new dlc skins are that ONLY outliers with adding attributes.

Agree with battle royale thing, I used to play this mode with friends all time and now it so bad and boring like they don’t rotate all weapons and those shield and health regen are bad+all gadget removal

The game is on life support. What I'm thinking right now is that the game runs on mythic weapons being added, and peoples nostalgia drive. I've played this game for over a decade and can say that there's a serious problem with the game. One of the main issues is the mythic to every other rarity ratio. There's just too much mythic weaponry and gear being added to the point where a player who has money or a lot of time to grind becomes almost unrivaled, making players who already play the game quit. This is especially the case for new players who won't stand a chance as they don't have the proper gear or experience to win. And thats the second issue,, the game isn't newbie friendly. As soon as newbies (who I assume are already used to the bots and other newbies) reach a specific level, the matchmaking says "okay, now time to put you in the same playground as the veterans with op gear". The transition from mostly bots and newbies to experienced war machines is to much of a jump for the newbies to manage. No wonder they don't stay for long, they can'tadapt to such a drastic change. And as seen already, the graph is on a decline and might i remind that ecko says this is during the summer when the boys are all online and a time where the playerbase is expected to be mostly active aside from updates and all else. The game has a problem keeping players, theres more people leaving than joining, the game had to add bots to make up for the lacking player count. Getting into matches is mostly a gamble, you either are in a match with maybe two or three bots or a match with several experienced players( the game has a reputation for bad match making thats unfair according to many players i encounter in matches who look down on the player count and decisions devs make). I still have more to say since I'm really passionate about the game but I feel this is too long for a comment section. I should also say that all of what i said was straight from the things i picked up over the years, i didn't do any research, this is all just my take. So don't take anything i say as 100% factual.

And forgot to mention no one can get into a mainland battle royale match, like whats up with that.

I rememeber playing pixelgun all the way back before they changed their main character's skin. Ive played for forever, but have found myself becoming more and more disheartened with the status of the game. I have lost my data multiple times and have restarted multiple times, however, the increasing gap between pay to win success and grinding is too much.

One thing i hate is how unclear they are with the items/weapons/effects descriptions, they just say "oh it poisons" "it burns" "it increases ur movement speed by idk, tremendously" i wish there was an option to have a detailed description, they haven't made the descriptions clear in so long so ig they have a reason to keep it that way, but what they could do is add an optional setting that does let you see those values. It would be nice to be able to know how much durability the armors give you, or being able to see how much dmg increase you get from items like the tiara, how much damage the poison does, how long marking/slow/stun/etc lasts for, i feel like it'd open up some possibilities, like having a weapon that does little damage but applies a debuff for a long duration.

Updates just suck now, and nothing is good, gets boring after spending 100s of dollars on a weapon skin 😒

Tho i am an og and i miss the old day's of the game, i enjoyed the most during the anime part 2 season. At that time everyone i knew played the game and i just had a fun time playing with everyone, sandbox was still fun, free play was full with nice people, i had my own successful clan. It was the best! I feel like the game started being sh@t when the battle passes only had 3 weapons instead of 4, all of my friends left. And now im playing all alone against the hackers and the spammer's, i hope the developers will listen to your words, this game needs to change. Who cares about more one shot weapons! We all saw that spammer in your video, they are everywhere. This game needs to take some inspiration from fortnite, do a “pixel gun og season“. All i care about in this game is not the weapons, but the friend's, the maps, i mean.. When was the last time pixel gun made a “new“ map instead if bringing sh@t maps nonody play's. I think the last “new“ map pixel gun made was the backrooms map that was just a lame lazy repaint of classic pool. Hey ecko, pixel is talking about “block city“ what is block city? Ive played battle royal quite a bit recently, thanks to you, and i had fun with it. I mainly played the big map, avrg player count is 21, avrg team size is 3, and avrg pc player % in lobby is 75%. And then theres the Firestarter which is currently just overpowered in Battle Royal... Yet again, warning the PC Glitch abusers, if you abuse the infinite ammo glitch in my games when the report system is out properly, i will not hesitate. Especially not in Battle royal The "unique effects" of skins that the devs mean, are animations and bullet colors. Only some of the DLC skins give "unique attributes". They gotta work on the naming and descriptions of it all I find it sad that the Wasteland skin of the Heavy removes the cool poison cloud effect on impact. A Game with this much DLC will definitly start releasing lower and lower quality content for money

yes they only put it in pc. however mobile has a lot of easy ways to gain currencies. like I'm level 39 and I only have 2 mythical weapons. and those are the free ones that came out. its just not as easy for pc. you have to take that into consideration.

The 'unique effects' on gun skins usually means that it alters the look on the gun physically opposed to it only being painted on and it's bullets also changing in some way cosmetically. When they added the fire and poison skins in the steam shop I was surprised there weren't more indicators showing they actually change the gun's effects as 'unique effect' skins already existed prior and had no actual special effects (one exception being that one zeus sword skin dealing slightly more damage but I classify it more as a glitch).

I think the changes likely will come when the season ends, and it may have to do with the accidental early update. That’s my experience. Also “Adds Unique Effects” normally DOESN’T improve or swap attributes. When they say that, they usually mean that the firing sound is different, or the beam is different, for example, the Brutal Sounder skin, or ANY of the End of Pixel Pass/Elite Skins, or the Snow Ulti skins. You notice that when it doesn’t say it, only the appearance changes, but otherwise, rocket color and sounds change. I WILL say that the BLINDNESS will change with such weapons, such as Navigation Shotgun and Deadly Eye Vengeance. PBand Beat is rumored to have a bigger hitbox apparently for its projectile and PBand Fan Sword apparently does more damage but has a slower fire rate.

the funniest part is if they would just use a much older version of the game it would probably be more fun. like revert it 6 years or 7 years and it would probably be realy enjoyable.

I play this game on my phone. But when I go into the game, I only encounter a lot of PC players, which makes me feel very disadvantaged. Where the matching game lets me meet players on PC. Playing this game on a phone lacks flexibility. There are no other tools that make playing games easier like a gyroscope. Playing on the phone was like playing pixel gun on hard mode and I didn't enjoy it.

Guys,I want say something . I'm a chinese player ,I always find I can't join any game , even if my computer is connected the network , or sometimes in battle , I saw those enemy get stuck , maybe it's my problem ,but I believe it was the server too bad

Ive had a an account on pg3d since i was 7 am 13 now and i was a clan grinder so i basically played the game all out you cant save me from quitting but pg3d isnt attracting players because even after 5 whole years playing this game i still dont have x mods. What im tryna say is make things easier.

To be fair, the older mythical skins usually just says that when it changes the projectile, but I do understand the frustration skins look cool though

I recently quit due to the repetitive updates, hacker problem, and overall just got bored of the game. Glad to see I made the right choice.

I feel that there's 2 things that I think is a issue: Weapon balancing and availability. There are some broken weapons that are pretty common to come across that can ultimately make lobbies a living hell. You don't really see many players running with other weapons besides the same loadout as with the meta, using broken weapons that require less to no skill is the key to winning. While for other weapons, they can't really compete in the meta. Then there's weapon availability. It feels that mostly every update, the armory is decreasing with some weapons being vaulted or returning to lottos as parts. Worse case being they would return them but as offers. Even with the gallery having some decent weapons, is if really going to compete the meta.

In my opinion, as soon as 3 cat was introduced the game went downhill. Nowadays casuals stand no chance against 3 cats and it’s sad tbh. Will always hate cat spam because it’s ruined my childhood game.

Either they are losing budget or getting lazy/tired, still they need to make changes and big updates that can make the game more fun and fair so it reflects their effort back to them.

I really want to quit this game. And yet, I always have 2nd thoughts. The game has changed so much to the point where I just want to remove it from my phone.

The devs adding more guns that have ricochet just bring chaos to all maps, i would play this game a lot but now play games like call of duty mobile or brawl stars because this game is just toxic in multiple ways and also because they have multiple problems they need to fix. I can say that even with this mindset of just pushing out new weapons not only it affects mobile players with low storage but it just creates a cycle of having to throw away any weapons that are outdated & just makes them rotting waste till they get a buff even if the buff was only meant for the holidays/miscellaneous events. So even with new weapons constantly on the horizon it defeats any propose of getting them just to last only for a month & get nerfed down or outclassed by anything new once a player picks up on the normal update cycle & for those that don't pick up on the cycle are often just to drop their old weapons the moment they get something with a tad bit better performance. Most of these players either quit or outright just completely ignore the base premise of the game & only davil in minigames & talk with their friends that are on the game cause they either struggle Or outright are powerless The hacker situation baffles me to the point I'm surprised that even with all the 'anticheat' talk we saw nothing witch leads me to believe that they are attempting to develope their own anticheat & given what has been going on im surprised that pvz bfn dispite being the worst pvz shooter it did anticheat measures justice even though they didn't even made it themselves. All i can say we are in for the deep depression era & maybe its complete downfall if all of the problems we are seeing now fully take over the game like a cancer.

Hi @PIXELECKO the unique effects can also be the shooting animation or the look or sound the gun makes, for the "Brutal Sounder" Skin for the Brutal thinner it is just the look of the shooting animation, and another example is the Ronin the military skin has the same beam but the Christmas skin that skin has unique effects and the beam is blue. skins have said "adds unique effects" for ages and only the steam ones do it. look at the ulti northern lights skin, or potato implant love implant skin, dept collector Sakura skin, fake pistol altered skin. they don't add anything. maybe the "adds unique effects" thing doesn't mean attributes. everything that says that has different effects like particles, muzzle flashes, animations, sounds. stuff like that. but if steam says the wasteland and toys skins add stuff then we are gonna have issues

I think by "Adds unique effects" they mean sound effects / visual effects, they should definitely be more clear about it though the party sniper skin also has that message but I'm pretty sure it doesn't buff the gun in any way.

Pixel Gun has reached its depression phase for PC my friend was so happy that he was able to play Pixel Gun on PC but one week later he said pixel gun isn't fun anymore it's boring no challenges when you're a starter player and he was playing the game in 2017 through 2019. He said he'd rather go back to 2019 and play the game then go here to 2024

Ecko I feel your pain as a small pixel gun 3d youtuber I just quit making videos on Pixel gun 3d because the game is just a mess like i regret hitting max level 65 cause all the fun left i have to use op weapons or am im not winning the only thing saving this game is first to fix the problems and at a og mode with older weapons only cause to honest the only thing keeping me from uninstalling is my clan 😢

the “add unique effect” has been here even before pc edition & the dlcs. I guess their version of “Unique” effect is just replacing the sounds/shooting effects effect

Best decision to quit this game, i learned to do a muscle up in those 3 months instead and I gotta say I’m much more proud of myself with that than if I had added another 1k wins to my account😂😂

IIRC, first ever weapons to have this "adds unique effect" on skins are Fear and Despair, Secret Forces Rifle and Brutal Headhunter. Really all it did was change the sound effects and the colors of the bullets, like how F&D changes from its normal purple to a green one and Brutal Headhunter sounding incredibly different than normal. First weapon to actually change with the "adds unique effect" thing is probably Zeus' Chain Sword, it turns from a fast fireate low damage to a semi slow firerate higher damage.

They really need to change the problem with the lottery, I'm sick of getting parts every single time I open winner chests and it's not worth all the keys just for parts. I still remember last year you could instantly get the gun, in my opinion just quit pixel gun 3d and never play it again.

I've played for a decade and now its not even closely the same. At this point, its not even worth continuing and I'd recommend moving on after 6 months at very most. The devs can fix most of their stuff in a month or two at most. Once 6 months pass, theres very little or maybe even no hope for this game. 6 months is already a long time and it wouldn't make much of a difference from the remaining 11ish months in terms of the time you give them. If they do implement stuff that is actually needed like a better anti-cheat system, better matchmaking system, more f2p friendly, better balencing, etc, then the game would already be miles better and can thrive once again. However, I highly doubt this is the case. Good luck to you Ecko and do what you think is best.

as a pc player i can say it suck i play on mobile before but stop because my phone was ass at playing games so when pc came out i thought it would be like challenge or quest that give you gems or something but no I have to use blue stack to watch ads

I think you got a slight wrong idea about the "adds unique effects" Remember that existed before they started adding actual effects, instead they changed how the projectile looks and stuff. The deadly beats, the big buddy, and many other skins have that text as well, because it changed the weapon. It should be more clarified though, players wont know if its just a purely cosmetic change or if it adds actual "effects"

2:10 I restarted playing pg3d hoping to bring back memories, I started over with no weapons since I lost my Ipad a long time ago. I stopped playing 1 week of playing Horrible servers Hackers in EVERY lobby P2W is insane, I dont mind monetization at all, but it's impossible to get gems, i get like 10 gems a day
