Love watching your informative videos, The only thing you have missing is you never introduce yourself. I always tell my guys about this guy up in Canada; we would love to know your name!
nice video. Too many people on youtube focus too much attention on fancy high tech gadgets. But your video brings to mind something I read in a book on spraying years ago: "the efficiency of your spray opperation will not depend on how fast you can spray, but on how easily you can move things in and out of the paint booth. " Well designed carts are the backbone of any well run shop.
I think that phase could be said about most areas of the shop. Something we say here is. "Everytime you touch a peice, you either add value or devalue it" If your spending time moving parts. The money you make per part is now decreased. Refine your processes and handle things once
i think the lean to carts are the most versatile, but the cabinet carts are the only reason we can put out so many cabinets per shift. without sorting the parts this precise we wouldnt be where we are today
there's a lift table at the edgebander to raise the parts from the conveyor to the infeed height so the operator doesnt have to pick everything up from knee height. also theres a lift at the end of the assembly line to lift cabinets up to the packager height so they just roll in
