I can completely relate to what you are saying, it took a horrific tragedy where my two Golden Retrievers and I were nearly killed and lost everything of material value. I realized that only Jesus can fill any void I feel and he gives me the strength to carry on. My two Golden Retrievers and I got a second chance in life and I will forever remain grateful to God that he saved us.

In 1978 I was a sophomore at the University of Chicago. By 1980 I was homeless and nearly starved to death on the streets of San Diego. Homeless and psychotic. But one day my Father remembered me and saw that my death would be without profit. Since then I have served Him faithfully and I have preached the gospel to the poor in a pulpit ministry for 28 years. Sometimes He has to get our attention and it can be pretty drastic. Yes, thank you for sharing. I have struggled with autoimmune disease; chronic fatigue pain for most of my adult life (25 yrs). It used to make me feel worthless and incapable of being a good wife and mom and just undervalued in social groups. In the last 5 years my health has declined more quickly, but God has shown me "my weakness, his strength" through my pain and that my value is in Jesus completely :)

Alwyn, I understand what you are saying. I had a very bad car accident when I was 21. I'm lucky that I wasn't paralyzed or killed. But Jesus gave me a second chance to make things right with him. I was a Christian, but I wasn't living it. I came back to him. Alwyn, God put you where you are today to reach so many and to teach those of us who need to learn under your teaching. I'll never understand his ways, but we will some day. I couldn't understand why I had cancer... But I always said why not me. I had more faith walking through cancer and touched more lives than ever. I still have the faith, I'm just saying when something like this happens it draws you closer to the Lord. Amen

It didn’t surprise me at all. That’s all the pains and sufferings in our lives that brings us to - him back home. It’s wonderful how we come home, humbled and broken but he loves us no matter what. It sometimes takes a tower moment to come back home but he will make you rise to your life’s mission no matter if you are disabled or fully able. You are living your life’s mission that’s all:) congrats Allan!

I thought I had the Lord most of my life. When I surrendered to Him, I realized all I had was my illusion. Nothing is worthy missing Jesus. He is resuscitating me every single day. 🙏🔥

Amen! I can so relate! Getting severely ill at 21 and still struggling 10 years later, it is what brought me into a deep love-relationship with Jesus! It is a battle every day dealing with the symptoms but in the end I'm so grateful for going through what I'm going through, because without it, I would call myself a Christian without actually knowing him...now it is hard to not talk about him because he is my everything! I also tell people, they don't have to wait for a tragedy to happen to get close to God.. I'm encouraging everyone to run after intimacy, because truly, nothing comparse to deeply knowing him and his love 🥰😍

I have the same thought as you, brother Alwyn. I wish I had relationship with Jesus earlier in my life and I wish others can find Jesus sooner than me. They do not need to experience a terrible wake-up call like me to find Jesus. He's always there for us with grace and mercy.

So True, I have always known Jesus ❤ He has always been my best friend, He came to visit me when I was alone at school waiting for my Daddy to collect me, I was 5 years old, I knew who He was and we communicated in our own special talk, (I already was speaking and praying in my heavenly language as soon as I could talk in the natural) He kept His promise, that He is always with me, even when I can’t see Him, I was in a crash when I was 15 and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, In a split second I cried out to Him, He heard and He answered, filled my lungs with air and pushed the blockage out of my throat and the medical team put an oxygen mask on me and took me to hospital, in the ambulance I was in and out of consciousness and I told Jesus, I was His forever, I would serve Him all of my days…. This is just part of my amazing, crazy, wild sometimes difficult journey ❤ He is so worthy 🙌🙏

It is in suffering that real work is done. This is where our faith and love for Jesus Christ is tested. Solomon had everything his heart desired and yet he said: Vanity of vanities, all is vanity and chasing the wind. True wealth is Jesus. The rest just passes by.

Just popped on my phone and just listened. Yes, I agree. I feel the same way. I am not the woman I am today, without what had been. He built me up from all of those terrible events. I expected you to say just that, as I regret my prodigal time and lack of knowledge as I grew up...Praise be to our Shepherd who breaks us and carries us on His shoulder, as we heal. We are closer than ever to Jesus and learn what He is like...in those times. His long suffering and His love is unlike any other. ❤

I feel the same way I was healed of 3rd stage aggressive cancer where I had a bleeding polyp but because of my mindset I didn't go to the doctor for 5months which caused me to have a 5cm tumor. After surgery it spread to my lymph nodes. So I started to believe God I'm 100% healed now. I am serving God now. I am praying for you because for God's glory you are impacting his kingdom and God is pleased and healing is past tense. By his stripes you were healed. You have a humble heart. God bless you 😊

To able to share your story with such peace about everything you have lost and on your face to see contentment and serenity it is beautiful. I also went through a traumatic experience and I have been given a second shot at life and I feel like only now I am truly living, because I am living for God with a full heart. I share the same message with all my friends and people I can like yourself - no need to go through something tragic to start living. I've seen several of your videos and never knew you were paralyzed...physically yes but spiritually you are making awesome strides of difference...Thank you my friend...It made me reevaluate my own second chance I was given and what I am doing with it...I nearly died from a valiant attempt at suicide. I was in a coma for two days. I could have died---even as a 'Christian.' The slogan I have on my t-shirt is....To prevent suicide, share your story...I try my best to do just that. Every day I have is surely by His grace. ? is, how am I showing Him my appreciation? We show Him we love Him by DEED and Truth but not without Love. When I look back, the measure of myslef looks rather small.

A couple of days ago I was asking the Lord for a car. And I have been asking for it for the last five years. I got divorced and lost everything, I mean everything. And I had to start all over in life and now I am in my forties and I have not yet recovered materially. I wrote a book called “when life not death do us part” by Keabecoe and that book is my emotional journey through my divorce. And even though I lost everything, I am glad that I have Jesus still. You're exactly right.. What is enough.. At 32 I realize I really hate having regrets.. But then I remember this point. And besides, it is not our timetable anyway, just got to live in the present. I hope to live for Jesus and not myself. Surrender is a very difficult thing for me, Lord make me willing to be willing lol

I agree... My story is different, but I do remember the day that I died to self, although now I know that just like with self-actualization it's an option/event we can be faced with more than once in our lifetime & walk with Christ. Some will never self-actualize and similarly some will never die to self. The circumstances that push us to do the latter may be unpleasant, but the result makes them worthwhile. God has a way of working Romans 8:28 into those situations 😊 in ways only He can.

Usually when I watch your videos, I just say cool, amen and keep it moving in my life. But I honestly felt convicted after sharing your regret. I know that being on a wheelchair was not something you saw coming, and we thank God that you are still alive today. And thank God that you believe in Jesus, who saved you and died for all our sins. Truly, this video had me thinking, how much am I doing for the kingdom of God? There is an assignment that all of us have on this earth and God has revealed it to us. I have recently been feeling those same regrets, though I haven't experienced a physical trauma, more mental. And I do think, if I wasn't so focused on my current circumstances and thinking forward for what God has in store in the future, how would my life have been? And I have those regrets of not taking the Word of God seriously. I pray that for people like me who are struggling, to hold onto God, and to not be ashamed of believing in Him to others.

I might have seen this one, this vid is so real and true, once you have done this or had that, it will never be enough, it's like it never ends ,your never satisfied, Jesus checks off all the boxes, in Him we live and move and have our being, He is love, and He is good.
