Loved the Jessica Fletcher reference 😂. Collected seeds from my native plants and dispersed seeds in areas I’m hoping for them to take. Will see what happens in spring 😊

I do this same thing! Once you get native plants going, it's relatively simple to take their seeds and put them elsewhere in your yard to see where they stick, what conditions are best for them to get growing. It almost feels like letting them decide where they'd best like to be. :-)

Great message, but I can't get past how it sounds like you're reading a book to a toddler. Also, "just plant native!" is unfairly oversimplifying it. Even if you're okay with some plant deaths (which are inevitable no matter how much research you do), figuring out which plants are even native at all takes research. It's not like you can just pop in to walmart and buy a bunch of native plant seeds. Not to mention that the US is HUGE. There are plants native to the east coast that are considered invasive in the west. Just because a plant is native to the country doesn't mean it's native to your area or beneficial to wildlife there.
