Good to see someone noticed the ripoff. ;) The actually contacted me to ask if they could produce it under license. I refused, so it looks like they decided to just rip it off anyway. Nice guys, real winners Airtech are. Funny thing is I found out about this because Airtech contacted one of my dealers trying to hock these. Nice bunch of guys.

@@whatfor5 I hope you dont mind me joining this conversation! To be frank I’m a keen follower of your work and have also tried your 3D versions of the trigger and reversal latch lock and love your other products, however, unfortunately, the ARL didn’t really last too long (maybe a bad 3D print from your Shapeways store perhaps) but was helpful at first anyway. From the look of the Airtech version the design from the video of their pinchers seems to be of a different design compared to your version where yours utilises both ends of your ARL clip depending on version of the gearbox. Theirs seems to use only one side and maybe available to be bent to cater for the various gearboxes it seems, so hard to say it’s a “rip-off” as such- im guessing the manufacture versions are able to achieve this compared to rigid 3D variants. In a business perspective unless you have a design and more of, a utility patent (at least for the US) to prevent competitors to enter the arena with their products unless these are clearly presented. That’s just like saying all other brands are not allowed to create TM based v2 gearboxes just because they were the "first" to create it. We don’t want a monopoly after all! In the spirit of airsoft I’m happy to see different company’s take ideas, and evolving them for the advantage of players in the field and im sure many others will continue to design versions that would supersede Airtechs version in the future. Despite that, I hope you don’t take offence to my honest opinion and that you continue to make awesome products for airsoft.

I remember buying the HS5 version but it was 3D printed and they snapped clean as soon I tried it. These looks manufactured so hopefully will hold up better!
