Sure, it's big and as strong as one would expect for something that size, but it's still just a post. Hide inside something sturdier, like a building, and it's just annoying. Also I wonder if you could just chuck a few molotovs at it and make it scream for a whole other reason...

Siren Head isn't just like, a nocturnal creature or anything like that. He's either gonna get bored and try to hunt someone else, try to tear the building apart, or persist until he kills you. He uses largely echolocation to find people and kills for sport as well as for food. That's what that guy meant by 'it can hear your shape', the sounds it emits bounce off of entities and returns to him, allowing him to detect where things are and what they are.
