I really hope that this video is the video that motivates you and helps you understand that you have so much time. My greatest advice to an 18 year old, 22 year old, or 30 year old, is that you don't need to have your life figured out because you're only a fraction of the way through. You still have 60%, 70%, or 80% of your life in front of you, yet you're thinking that you need to have it figured out...
Please, comment below with what in this video actually resonated with you - I'm dying to hear from you.. xoxo

When you’re young. 18 - 25. Just try everything. Get experiences. Travel, start that business, build that band. Just do high risk shit because you’re young and you don’t have as many responsibilities as you will in a few years time. You don’t have a mortgage, or kids to provide for. Take Risks, try new things, explore new places. Find your passion. Don’t just “get a job”. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with that and when you’re bouta die. Regret is all that you will be thinking of.

@@owoawowi Well, I guess this is pretty much from a western perspective. Most people can't really go travelling that young for example, among other things. It's not much I, or anyone who doesn't live where you live, can tell you or advise you, but I do hope you find a way, find your independence and prove people wrong. I believe you can break some boundaries, no? You have my support! Good luck!

Edit: Just saw you posted 4 years ago, lol. I got my degree in graphic design, had a gret career and tanked it when I moved back where I grew up near LA and I tried to freelance with not planning well. Take it from me. Always have a steady income and a plan. Far better to have that and hustle at nights and on weekends. If you do freelance, save up at least 20k, or 10k if you build up your client base (which really should be a must). I'm starting over and doing design and art the right way now. Live and learn!

Yaaaassss....I've got 3 boys, ages 12, 8, and 6, and I have already said that right after high school, I'd love them to take time to travel, go to a community college, figure out what they want to do instead of doing what society expects them to do: go to a 4 year, get massive debt, then sit at a desk job they can't stand. I am an entrepreneur and I have learned there are different paths, not just the 4 year college job path.

@KaOBeatbox What stressful limbo are you talkin about?
@KAOBeatbox
@KAOBeatbox 6 лет назад
@Activ.Household - I'm talking about where people (ages 18-24) coming out of high school or who are in college are forced to make a decision which they are unsure about, which will affect their lives dramatically when they don't know if it's what they want to do. Once they commit to college and what they believe they *SHOULD* do, they are *AFRAID* to go after things they enjoy such as making a vlogging channel, making a beatbox channel, or pursuing something like Acting simply because they're in this "limbo" of college which society has placed on top of our generation.

I'm 23. I finished my bachelor in science and I'm about to start a bachelor in fine arts in theatre because it's my real dream. The thing is, I'm gonna work for a year to save up for college, which means that by the time I actually start, I'll be 24. This makes me very nervous because I realize I'll be starting college at 24 all over again when most of my friends will be starting and completing their masters degree by that time. Not only that, but I'll be surrounded by 18 year olds 24/7 only reminding me that I pretty much "wasted" 4 years of my life not doing what I really wanted. This all stresses me out so much, but I gotta do it. What really made me make up my mind was thinking "yes at 24 years old I'll be very behind... but not as behind as if I was 27 and finishing a masters degree in something I don't love and regretting not having the courage at 24 to go for my dreams". Basically I had a choice: next year, start doing what I actually love to do, or start something I don't. I hope things turn out well. Not just for me, but for anyone else that feels this same pressure

I haven't been watching these videos as much as I used to. I just turned 25 on the 7th. I have been feeling like I'm wasting my life by not discovering what I want to do, getting a full time career, etc. I want to help people, influence the world, but have yet to discover the platform to do that. I'm an old soul, and believe this my last lifetime to make a difference. Patience is a virtue. Being in the right energy and manifesting the right things can happen at ANYTIME.

I got a brain injury at 28. I had amnesia as a side effect. Im 30 now. And what you said about happiness and time is true. Time is more valuable than money and diamonds. Heck I shifted from pre law at 18 to fine arts and graduated at 26. Cause we were short of cash. But you know what i realized? Im thankful that happened as Im my own company and boss now. Im doing freelance. Time is my friend and aly not a a life sentence. So what gary is preaching about grattitude and patience is true. Trust me. I lost 80% of my memories and im freelancing. Have a great day y'all and hope youre also being grateful and patient. Time is our friend. Thanks for reminding me of this daily Gary

What's so interesting is that if you at the faces of the young people asking him these questions... they're not really LISTENING to him. They're hearing him. They're not LISTENING. They don't have the context to truly apply what he's saying. Their impatience PREVENTS them from hearing. There's probably a minority of people who actually heed this advice and those will be the people who succeed. 80/20 principle at work.

Now I understand why I resonate so much with GaryVee. He is a grown up man who understands the youth. Other older people can like advice me to do this and do that, but I can read through them. And what they were saying is what they wished they have done. But not GaryVee. He spoke true when he says, I can't (always) have something big in an instant. It s just like how successful people put years of their heart in doing the things they love, and that what made them so successful

I think one common theme both here and in a lot of your videos is to stop standing in your own way...by listening to negative folk, thinking you’re too this or too that, putting limitations on your abilities...and just go for your goals with a sense of positivity and belief in yourself. 💪🏼💯

Im already 30 yet I'm still early in the process. Does this mean I've "got to be myself "?? Been there Gary: Societal pressure, parents' expectations, get good grades, got lost in life, work a job, hated my job, hang out with the wrong guys, manning up, hated school, hated myself, lacked skills, no commitment, confusion, etc. It's one thing to have a starting point in life. But how should I even get started Gary? I'm getting 30 already. We all know that time's our most valuable resource. does this I should remain calm and patient? Any advice? Thanks

I love all your content. I understand calming the mind from pressure but when you have to work to live and then clock out of building who's ever dream and clock in fully on you. Passion eats up time. Time is limited here in that aspect. I've lost a ton of friends and family which means time is dated. Time will stop at some point. Time takes no ones side.

There is no need to rush. Learn as early as possible on how you can create a great foundation for yourself. It’s so amazing how GaryVee manipulate his thoughts. I totally agree with him! Patience is the key. Start from the bottom and grow from there. Use your experiences as a key to your future sucess. Your life doesn’t end with failures its just a test to prepare you to become a better version of yourself.

Thank you. After 4 years doing a bachelors degree in accounting, I had my goal set to be a CPA and run my own accounting office. But as soon as I started an internship in accounting I realized that this is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I just graduated and I don't know what is my future. I am 23 years old though, so this video gives me relief from the pressure that I feel due to my father. He wants me to get my CPA, I don't. I thought I did, but that internship opened my eyes to the reality of it. I am working on starting a Social Media Management Agency and searching for a Master's degree in relation to marketing, communication or video production. My opinion does matter more than my fathers and that's why I won't do the CPA, I am going ahead and searching for my true passion. Thank you for pushing me towards the journey of searching for my passion Gary. Thank you

Think outside the box with everything and if your searching for the meaning of life I would highly recommend reading Ecclesiastes 1-12 it’s about a 20 minuet read that’s worth every minute.

I needed this. My evening weekend mainly Saturday is so dumb and depressing and lonely. I have so much I can do to spend my time yet I'm emotionally punching myself in the eyes and brain. Figured I'm going to ingest this video and others on my plan to watch. Thanks Gary you legend. 🙏

Gary, my man. I love when I hear something from you either in a new way or just something completely new because it’s like it unlocks something for me. When you said you could work for 7 years learning your craft and be 26, you have done great foundational work. That hit me hard! I’m turning 24 Monday and have been making videos and learning how his whole RU-vid thing works for 10 years and have started to think maybe it’s not for me. However that statement changed everything, thank you!!! Cheers to closing my eyes for the next 6 years!

I am 41 years old with an established Bussiness. I have decided to also build a social media brand along with running my existing bussiness. I have never dealt with my surrounding loved ones and friends not backing me until I started this. Patients and believing in your idea will work. The hardest part about this is learning not to care what other people think. If everyone understood your vision before it is a reality they all would do it. I have not even come close to making it but I know I will over time. Do not let others change what you know can be reality. I tell my story because even when your established in the working world I get the same comments from people as if I was just trying to find my way and as I just got out of high school. Live the life you choose and take advantage of today’s opportunities that do not make sense to the successful people who made it using the old opportunities. Today is very different! In a good way. Do not stop.

Like with everythign, moderation is key. A lot of the times, I play his videos in the background while I'm putting in the work! Mainly "listening" to the video, not really watching it. You;re doing it right 🤜

This really resonated with me because i have a bad habit of trying to do everything as fast as possible all at once at 21. I think about the long game consistently, but I really beat myself up when I skip a day or don't have a perfect day full of work. I think it's really important to slow down, and be patient as Gary says in many of his videos. If you're in your 20s like me, you're gonna make it. You have the time and opportunity. Let's fucking do this.

I'm going through such a hard time in my life and I feel like its because of the pressure of being successful at a young age. I was 3 weeks away from graduating a Police Academy and getting my journey started but LIFE kicked me in the face and things didn't work out. I've gone to lots of people for support/advice and Gary your words are exactly what I needed to hear. THANK YOU!

I remembered when Garry said he'd say something a thousand times and then it suddenly clicked the thousand and oneth time because of the wheather or some butterfly effect or other unknown reasons... I think it clicked to me now because of the editing, and the fact that I've been regular with my iron and vitamin supplements for a while now... My head feels so much clearer and the way all of these past quotes have been said together made the point stick in a way it never did before. Thanks Mr. Editor! You're the real MVP
