It was another good year of making beer, getting together and talking about it. The golden age might be over but some of us just keep on doing it maybe because we can't stop. What will this next beer style that I've never made be like? Can I re-do a favorite beer of the past and have it come out equally as well? These questions and more keep some of us firing up the kettle. As long as those of us exist we will still have our little community. Cheers man!

More big projects to come. Beverage trends change , beer and ale traditions have been arround for years . Some are forgotten , so plenty to do and taste . See you again as soon as time allow . Til then we keep on brewing.

I agree the “golden age” is over, but we have an unprecedented amount of great products and high quality ingredients. These are the times when I think really innovative and cool things can happen. Keep our sticks on the ice, 2024 is going to be a banger

Chip, I like the stretched out version of the 12 beers of Xmas, we know you're a real person with a real life and sometimes there just isnt enough time in the day to meet that self imposed dead line. We, in this community, don't mind and don't hold it against you. Keep up the great work, always looking forward to your episodes. Here's to the New Year of great new episodes! CFCBFB!

Another great year for C&B. Thank you for all you do through the year for this community. I know providing quality content is way more time consuming than it appears. I like the idea of more chop episodes as well. I’m most grateful for your friendship and the other great people I’ve come call friends because of this crazy little bit of entertainment and education you’ve created. Cheers to 2024.

Im brewing a helles soon with my buddy for our annual batch. Then a west coast IPA. Probably do 10 gallon split batch (hefe and hazy or pils and pale) for my wedding. Then maybe a porter in the fall. I also need to do 10 gallons of barleywine to blend with some buddies into a 30 gal bourbon barrel. Should be a fun year!

It's been a couple years since I made a batch, but planing on making at least a couple batches this year. Probably a Stone RIS clone, and an imperial rye amber. Stuff that will age well (since I just don't drink as much beer as I use to, . . . but when I do I want a Big'un).

I act like I want session beers, but I agree with you that I think I'd just assume have one (or two?) beers at 8-9% than four beers that are 4.5%. Just my sweet spot.

Lack of CO2 for kegging hurts home brewing out in rural MN... bottling kills my back with all the extra work... and the nasty shape friends bring bottles back in... gross! I got to where I would force them to buy me a 6 pack of decent bottled beer for every 2 nasty bottles they returned. Not that hard to rinse it with hot water and to NOT use them as a spittoon! So I will stick to kegging! If friends want to take beer home I had them each buy a co2 pressurized growler setup and taught them how to keep it clean. Now they can have tap beer on hand to impress friends.
