The thing she did for her brother is one of the nicest things I have ever seen. Creating a national shrine for the public to honour peoples death is insanely nice. Hope everything goes well for them!

How beautiful!!! That day really showed the good in ppl.. all the heros and victims of that day have taught us a lot. Theres still evil in the world and we can see that now durin the pandemic how ppl arent even willin to sacrifice a little to protect others.. but theres still heros who risking their own lives to save people.
Always fascinated by the old church, once in the middle of a busy street then left isolated as the rest of the buildings were pulled down and turned into a car park, if you pause some of the footage taken on that day you can just about see the church with debris about to hit it as the South Tower collapses

Glad they now have a place closeby for victims' family to have a quiet place. I went to ground zero to visits a lost one and couldn't get a quiet moment for myself since there's hundreds of laughing tourists around.
This image of St. Nicholas church with the Twin Towers in the background is so hautingly beautiful. I remember before 9/11 whenever I went to browse bookstores a fiction book with this image on a cover would catch my eye. If anyone knows its title or author I would appreciate it.
No offense everyone has their taste in architecture but the new one looks like a coffee filter and piece of paper enshrined in a fast food box. I wish they had chosen a similar design to the old.

It's about TIME ! The port authority dragged and Dragged their feet over almost 20 years, seeing to (or giving permission ?) having this church rebuilt.. So glad to see video and pics of the Original church ! * It's horrifying that so few artifacts from the church were found, but at least they have Those.
This reminds me of that whole "Ground Zero Mosque" thing that people were upset about a few years after the towers fell. I'm curious if kids now learn in school about how much people started to hate Muslims after the attacks.
Not sure of all the scripture references to that day, the Bible prophesied these coming to pass. It also mentions a tree that is totally unharmed by the church. Does anyone know of this? Church destroyed, rebuilt and a tree with no harm as a great nation fell...?
