Hey everyone! In this video I walk you though how to make a very useful crosscut sled for your table saw. Where I go the parts: www.rockler.com/ Enjoy the video!
I have an almost 20 year old Delta contractor saw with cast wings. I've made a LOT of furniture with it and really don't see any reason to spend a fortune on a newer saw. Liked your video... You've inspired me to make the sled that you made.
I have a SawStop contractor's saw with the upgrade fence. Absolutely love it and wouldn't go back. Had to save up for a long time, but it's much more affordable than their cabinet saw is.
I own the Ridgid R4560 (identical to the Delta 36 725 T2) and love it. It came with a decent miter gauge so I built it out with a fence, t-trac, measuring tape and stop block ... but I'm in the process of building out a medium sized crosscut sled. Wood is not only crazy expensive, but the quality is among the worse I've seen. I can't even find Baltic Birch Ply in my area. I really like how your sled came out ... I already have the same fence cap and tape measure on their way so that I can finish it up. Thanks for sharing your build ... Cheers!
Dewalt and an off brand. I like the way you used what you have to create a great sled. I have a bunch of 6” by 6” boards that I intend to rip into 2” by 6”. I need a long sled to use to do that. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!
I have a dewalt worksite table saw. Love it so far. How is the stop block working for you? I’ve seen complaints that over time those type deflect when doing multiple cuts. BTW - I use paste wax as my after shave……chicks love it! 😄
