Man, I spent one full day to understand the index match functions you described, and I can finally say I understand and can utilize it well. An added-value video indeed. I'm gonna do the rest. Thanks.
Omg I stubbornly attempted to do this in Google Sheets and let me tell you it was madness 😂😂 but I ended up figured it out and now I feel very accomplished!
Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial! For someone with a basic understanding of Excel, I think this is the best way to learn about data analysis and how Excel is utilized in the field. This is exactly what I was looking for. More power to you!
For those who follow try making the following change. In the first Pivot chart have months first and then years. Then you have what type of coffee sales best at a particular month. As a bonus you will have a nice timeline chart.
That's actually an added value video! For those who can't change date format: Once cliccked "CTRL+1", BEFORE clicking on "Custom", u need to select "Date" and then "Location" for choosing the English format. Then, u can follow his procedure
I just got your video today and I was able to complete the excel project without any issues. Thank you so much. This has been the most well-explained excel project tutorial so far. Great job👍
Interesting! To be honest I do not have any idea how to create dashboard and how excel works and etc. but by watching this, I was motivated to learn more about excel and learn more from your tutorials. It was very helpful! Thank you so much! Watchin' from Philippines :)
Wow Mo...my bro, thank you so much! You're a life saver. My projects are kind of weak in my portfolio and I've been thinking about what I should do about it. What great timing! Your work and generosity is very much appreciated.
@@olumayowawilliams7865 hey! I also faced same problem but I have downloaded the whole package i.e zip file and after that I extracted the file and got the data.
It's a completely awesome project. Thanks. I enhanced my skills, especially in terms of styling. I used TEXT function to process "0" values of email addresses instead of IF. Also, I added a slicer with coffee types to have the possibility to analyze total sales more precisely.
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! :) Question - Can I add this or a similar dashboard to my portfolio or is this a beginner level project? I would love to see more intermediate and advanced level projects as well!
This was an amazing topic! I learned more from this video than I did from the Excel unit in my current bootcamp! I can't wait to make an interactive dashboard in Excel!
Wow Mo! This is a phenomenal tutorial. It blends key basic and advanced Excel concepts. In addition, you took time and effort to explain them clearly. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I truly enjoyed this tutorial as well as all the other ones you have posted so far.
Hello Mo. Thank you so much for the video. This video is exactly what I wanted. =) I just downloaded the files and will go through them and practice on my own. I look forward to more videos being released.
Thank you so much Mo! I really like this kind of videos, full of knowledge and interesting inputs, hope there will be more and more!. I'll leave the github links here, I customized the project a bit, but I see it only as a starting point. In the near future I want to continue to improve my skills and always learn new things. I see it as a starting point
@@mo-chen Thank you! I can't past the whole link, I past the second part of it. /Bort439/coffee-sales-xl-mo_chen Thank you again for the support and availability
Hey Mo, came across your channel for the first time through this video. Thank you for the wonderful guide, I am looking to make an excel-portfolio and this has been a great starting point. A small feedback, if that's okay: the circular spotlight you were using to probably draw our attention to somewhere on the screen was a little jarring. Maybe it is only me, but the way it made the screen change was difficult on the eye. Perhaps there's a different way to achieve this effect :) Thank you, once again for the awesome video! cheers
Hi, I am new to the channel, I will definitely be checking most of your videos!! I do have a question please, where will I a be able to download the set of data you are working with? Thanks in advance!!
Thank you so much bro for making such a beginner-friendly video🥰 I'll be following your other videos as well. Would you mind making a video on SQL project/ interview questions. It will be very helpful. Thank you in advance.
I watched about 10 minutes of this and it's very good. I know a lot of what you're doing but I'm also learning a lot. Plan on creating this after I finish the last half of my coursera google cert for data analysis. Thanks!
Perfect i suggest to make more of these projects like in Excel,Tableau and SQL, for the portfolio i dont know what company look for in an individual for selecting but you can make vidoes that you do on your Job to get insights whats happening in a professional Enviroment , and what kind of portfolio projects should i upload on my website
Hi Mr. Mo, thanks again for this life saving tutorial... Kindly help with the data file you used.. I couldn't find it in the description. Best regards.
Its really so helpful to start with. I just finished the dashboard, I am wandering if I can upload this to my github account or needs to have some changes
Formula that you have used in the main table, we can simply do all these in power bi right in data modeling right without using any formula?? Just wanted to know your opinion, power bi would be much simple than this.
Great demonstration of Excel peoject. I have one simple question. How to add project like this into your portfolio site? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
@@mo-chen Great portfolio site. Thanks for sharing this. I think I got all the ideas I need from that link. I am web developer hence I can build something like this ....Thanks
@@mo-chen I won't be adding JavaScript framework, just plain HTML5 and CSS3 and hosting into my Linux server. Once, done, is it okay if I post the link for your review? Thanks
You are so inspiring and disciplined. I wish I had all your discipline and the opportunities you had. Sometimes we just get discouraged. We don't even know where and how to start due to so many things to cover since I was very young, I always admired people with continued goals, discipline and hard work. Are you Vietnamese or Chinese. I am trying to guess.
I'm glad that you can see that it's mostly hard work that got me to where I am. Talent is of course needed, but without putting in the work, talent alone is usually not enough. A quote I really like is "I'm going to do today what others aren't willing to, so that I can do tomorrow what others can't". My parents are Chinese, I'm a Hungarian-British dual citizen 😁
I'm little confused there, my version of Excel wants ; instead of , also in the very first strep with xlookup in the email, I get an value error, even I do exactly as instructed in the video. I noticed I keep getting errors when I type the formulas manually, I have to use the FX option to make it work. any ideas why it's acting like this ?
You are a life saver.A copact package of all necessary info with shortcuts.I just have one problem.I want to make pivot tables and charts with quantities like pressure and temperature against time and I dont need the aggregation methods of pivots. How can I do this to make dynamic dashboards which are connected to my daily info tables?
For anyone who has done this project recently, When Mo groups the 'Order Date' row right after creating the pivot table. How do you group by a specific year?? The software is completely different now.
