Hope this was at least able to inspire you for your base! ♥ It's been brought to my attention that I, for some reason, thought I needed Lettuce for something here.. You can of course use these for Salad in your own base, but they are not needed for pizza or cakes.. I'm not sure WHAT I was thinking. 😂😂😂
Just a quick comment on the math: Moz and Chix are both terrible ROI for the pal slot. only run Beeguard on your ranch and use the slots for Lyleen. You can sell Baked Berries, Salad or Pizza for way more Gold Per Hour, then by the Milk and Eggs from the vendor for way better productivity. Been testing an all Baked Berry outpost running 10 Lyleen, 2 Jorm, 2 Helz, and 1 J Ignis on 40 plantations. Even not upgraded the gold per hour is nuts, something like 9k per Lyleen. with lyleen being Petalia + Mossanda, and Jorm being Relax + Qivern you can have the whole thing up and running by 20. If you need the Ignis you can grab a thermal underwear and do laps on the volcano looking for a huge egg (its got a high chance of being a Jorm ig) or just breed a Felaris via the Anubis route. also if your only going to run 1 base, you can run either a Kindling or Electric Pal from your party with 4 flopies as once you have the necklace they will do all of your transporting automatically so long as you have a pal deployed. their pickup range is tied to their upgrade level so if you have Cake to spare its worth giving your team of 4 a quick boost.
Definitely did consider all of this, but I didn't really want the video to be 20 minutes of jam packed tutorials all in one, which is what I figured would happen if I delved into explaining the efficiencies and whatnot. I'm thinking I'll make some videos geared more towards the mid to late game here soon with much more optimized and efficient ways to do stuff, just not sure how to approach it quite yet. xD
My farm base has 29 plots run by 7 pals (10 if you count kindle and hauling). 3 Lyleens, 2 jorms, and 2 Frosty Nocts. Takes a couple days of breeding with standard settings but it's easy to condense them all down to 4 stars and give them 5 ranks in their respective crafts, which does much more than speed up the work they do but also increase the yields from the farm plots. An no, the jobs don't get stuck anywhere - just build your base correctly. This is prepatch.

I definitely know it's possible to have a lot more plantations than I have here, but my main idea was to make it a bit simpler to get done for people who haven't played as much or maybe don't want to put that much thinking/effort into it. Are you stacking plantations, by chance? Or is your entire ring just filled with a ton of them at one of your bases? 😂
The wheat seeds you can buy from the red merchant at the small settlement. This one doesn't have the tomato and lettuce seed and for those you need to go to dune shelter as you mentioned or the fishing village to the south of the volcano.
no need for kilmaris. just switch ragnahawk to jormintide ignis since he doesnt transport and will focus on kindling, and hes just as easy to get. all you do is fly up and down the eastern coast of the volcano island until you find a huge dragon egg. sometimes ive even found 2 or 3 in one run. it shouldnt be that hard to get one. you can do it as early as lvl 15 as soon as you have a nightwing saddle. and then get 5 flopies for your party for their pal special ability, they can all be out at the same time and they pickup nearby items. and you can either AFK in your base, or every once in awhile return to your base, load your party up with 5 flopies, and they will all run around and pick up items at the same time. this way you can use two more ranch slots for more eggs and milk, or have 2 more slots for breeding, or whatever you wanna do. this also comes with the advantage of you controlling when the items are picked up. if you really wanted to, you can use this to your advantage by not needing to worry about a cooling box, because the stuff on the ground doesnt rot. and you coordinate everything so that when you pick up all the items, you immediately use them in your stove, because once again, food wont rot there. which could free up another slot, since you wont need a cooler.
Great idea! Yeah, I definitely knew about getting Jorm. Ignis that way, but didn't really want to branch so far off the main topic of the video to explain how to get one. I suppose I could've just said that you can find him in Huge Dragon Eggs that are found near the Volcano, though.. 😂
Can you elaborate how this is easy? So many people keep saying this but it's actually a very low chance. I was going around Mt. Obsidian and the ruins for 6 hours and could not find one. The only time I found a Huge Dragon Egg in the ruins was when I already was able to beat one in the sanctuary.
@@madthane_ i dont ever look in the volcano or by the ruins ever. just stick to the the eastern coast. i just teleport to the south eastern ruins, and head directly towards the coast line. and once your on the eastern coast where its all grassy, just continue north along the coast. keep a good height when possible, because theres lots of high up spots along the coast. you wont find a huge dragon egg every single time, but it shouldnt take more than 3 or 4 respawns of eggs to find one. my current playthrough im on right now, i found two of them in less than one hour of looking for one, and i had both before lvl 18. our multiplayer server, our guild found two within a couple hours of doing runs.
Flopie will need to be ranked up to actually be useful and will only pick up what they "see" being dropped. If you load in and there's already stuff there. They bug out and not pick up materials.
I split the load to 2 base that does our mining as well,. One base does wheat and Berry, amd the other tomatoes and lettuces so that once there is no more ore to mine, Anubis would also help with the transport.
Great guide, but what's the point of the lettuce in this particular farm base? Wouldn't it be better to replace those lettuce farms with more tomatoes if you're just going for cake and pizza?
You know.. you're the first person to mention this, and I'm not sure how I managed to convince myself the lettuce plantations were needed to begin with. I suppose you could use the lettuce and any leftover tomato for salad.. but man, that's hilarious! 🤣😂
Need to learn to consolidate your farms. Will save space. But very nice video. Would suggest jourmuntide ignis always as main kindling. Condensed, enhanced by the statue, lettuce and tomato food. Plus passives if you want but if not, lv 5 kindling is pretty awesome if condensed alone.
I definitely do in my main base! I made this base in a few minutes almost exclusively for this video, so I didn't want to make it too complicated and drawn out. For the same reason, I tried to use easier to obtain pals so it wasn't just a tutorial inception with explanations on how to obtain Jorm. Ignis and such. 😂 Thank you for the compliment!
Would this work with stacked plantations? To save space? 'cause that way, all you'd need is the place for roughtly 3 plantations, maybe even less. If so, I could totally build this up in my breeding base, and just swap pals in and out when needed, so I can breed when I want to, and keep production going fast when I don't. Also, I'd highly recommend 2 kindling pals, so they can work 2 stoves at once, 1 for cake, 1 for whatever the heck you choose to feed your pals.
It absolutely will! I didn't include them in this video for simplicity sake but if you're keen to stack them, it may even be more efficient as there would be far less moving around for the pals to do. :)
It does, just make sure when stacking that from bottom to 1st floor you build 3 blocks high. Found this one out myself and am running a 3 deep, 7 wide building that can house well in excess of 20 plantations atm, and have confirmed for myself that so long as the pals can keep up, you can build this as high as you want. but eventually workload will top out on this.
I feel like you were making Salads with your lettuce/tomato ratio there. Pizza doesn't need lettuce. Vanwyrm cryst is also a great cooler pal since it will work through the night. You do need to manually assign it but that means you've got almost 100% uptime on cooling.
HAHAHAH yeaaaah.. someone else pointed this out a bit earlier - I'm not sure what made me include lettuce, I must have been thinking about salad or something because I had made some before recording this.
Salad is probably a MUCH better option for feeding your breeding base Pals if you also wanna make cakes. It doesn't draw on the milk and wheat you need for cakes, it has 84 Nutrition and restores 11 Sanity, plus it slightly increases your Pals' work speed, which can help with watering, harvesting and planting.
It definitely is. I just didn’t want to not include all of the ways you could use the pizza is all. 😂 You know if I had left it out, someone would’ve eventually commented that they feed theirs to their pals and didn’t even think to sell them 😅

Yes sir! I wasn't aware it was doing all of that, but I have resolved the issue - at least mostly - since I recorded this video. I had mixed something up when switching between editing templates and yeaaah.. :')
This may be 6 months old but by my gut I was gonna drop laughing if you said "Good Good* instead of "Good Food". This is just me that may laugh though. Don't know about the others.😅
