Thanks for the awesome tips on moving into position and hitting a forehand option. I appreciate the priorities on what really counts in executing a strong forehand. Also noticed the reference to hitting the ball at its apex.

What grip do you use on your forehand? The Eastern grip? When I was first learning, my instructor said that the continental grip was the ONLY grip that I would ever need. As a beginner, should I be using the Eastern grip for the forehand drive and the continental grip for everything else?

Terrible video, Tyson. Why. You do a great job of pointing the butt of your paddle in the backswing toward the direction of where you want the ball to go, as you have told us to do in many videos. Kyle does not. His backswing is a mess. His paddle seems to be more upright and with the butt of it pointing down, which is not what you recommend. Just saying...and paying attention.

Your looking at this video the wrong way. this one isn’t about the technique of the forehand, it’s about learning drills to improve your footwork and being more capable of finding your forehand on the court. You see how they are working mostly on footwork, getting space and running around the backhand to be able to hit the forehand. All those drills are to improve your movement on the court and agility.
