Note- Corner whitening is not what corners are usually dinged for. Usually it mis-cut aka more rounded or sharp. You see it ALOT in newer MtG cards

I feel like this is the most misunderstood thing. The amount of people that get a 9 on corners and immediately say "theres no whitening" is too high. lol

@@shankrl1 logan paul didn't really bring any GOOD hype apart from community expansion. he did a lot of harm, such as giving scammers a big platform and promoting them on his channel. logan paul's hype also made it impossible to find cards which hurt literally anyone who couldn't wait outside of target on drop day. i know well that no kids got any pokemon cards during vivid voltage - chilling reign because scalpers took them all at 8 in the morning.

I’ve seen a couple online, as well as my friend and I who got the metal cards looking in very mint condition. Whether or not they are 10s if graded, I don’t know. I’d say they’d be at least a 9.

@PokeNate There’s a slight chance that they do get damaged, especially in the process of grading! That is one of the biggest reasons why a perfect 10 is extremely valuable when talking a metal charizard.

@PokeNate I do believe for CGC is much more snug in space, more confined. However, I would hope the metal card is at least sleeved within the slab to prevent any future damage ya know? Otherwise, 100% premium item!

I graduated HS is 06 so we're pretty close in age so from one old dude to another I tip my cane to you, I found your channel a year or so ago and seeing the passion you have for Pokemon brings back such a nostalgic time in my life, and in all honestly it's just very very refreshing to see someone as passionate about anything these days. In a world full of bad news piled on top of pandemics and celebrity gossip and terrible reality shows, I'm so glad there's channels like yours that help the world by adding positive, and uplifting content. I don’t know if anyone else caught this, but I thought it was funny, while Leon was showing off the Prototype Pokémon game, if you look into what seems like a circular little window in the middle of the cart, when he’s holding it Centered to the camera, it just reads “FLASH ME” lol and yes I know It most likely says “Memory” but still, I thought that was good for a chuckle!

CGC is such a harsh grading service, but i believe that's a good thing. It makes their grades feel more "true". Getting a 10 from CGC is so incredibly difficult, let alone a PERFECT 10. Absolutely insane and congrats!

Leonhart, the corner issue could be an issue of consistency. It may look to the naked eye that all corners are cut "even" but one corner could be cut slightly bigger than another or something similar that you wouldn't catch without a centering and corner template or stencil or whatever you wanna call it

I'm not even bothered about Pokémon cards, however! I wish I had the same enthusiasm about ANYTHING that Leon has for cards 😂. It's refreshing to see this much positivity. I've followed him for a bit now and still know nothing about the cards! Just think it's funny watching his face go beetroot red when he pulls a charizard or something lol. More people should be like this guy. 👍

Whitening is part of the surface. The shape/cut of the corner is what is being judged for corners.

I invested $444 on my perfect metal charizard, sent it to BGS. They sent it to me with a huge chip on the bottom right corner on the back of the card. I'm pissed. And this video although happy for you, pisses me off. Because I had a golden ticket as well. Thanks Beckett. (Insurance claim process ongoing).

CGC are probably the only ones that grade the metal cards now, most graders refuse them because they can get damaged in shipping on the way back after being graded. The situation doesn't surprise me, CGC seem to jump head first at things others stay away from like stolen and tampered cards for example. I personally won't touch them for that reason alone, anybody who supports card theft doesn't deserve my business.

Trouble is that there isn't any TRUE way of knowing that it's the only one! CGC wont give us a pop report, so for all we know there could be dozens out there!!!!

Maybe get some of these re-graded? Some of the grades don’t really make sense, but the grader could’ve been having a bad day and just went them just to get it over with. All in all, I loved this video and keep being awesome man. 😎

I dont trust grading whatsoever after what me and a friend went through. We sent in 5 of the most gorgeous cards and they all came back with lows of 7.5's. My friend cracked all the cases and we resent them in using my address and name. One of the cards came back with a 10/9.5/9.5/9 - which is what it should have been, but it started as a 9/8.5/8.5/7.5 .... it's all subjective BS.
