This is exactly why I personally think in store shopping will never die, even tho people think we moving into an age of online shopping only. I have to be able to try stuff on then make the choice if I buy or not. I don’t like having to wait a week for an item just for it to not fit. And some stores charge for shipping and you have to pay your own shipping to return the item. Other stores don’t even refund shipping
One thing I wish I could’ve learned earlier ls to thrift more and buy less from big brands especially when starting out in fashion. It goes a long way learning to play with silhouettes and designs
Love this perspective man. I’ve been getting back into streetwear and am trying to figure out what I like most. I’m super into cars, so I want to take inspiration I get from my car and the design language of cars to try to look at them through the lense of fashion. Definitely subscribed, fantastic video.
Idk if this is related but I love my clothes having a personal/community connection. I buy from people and stores I directly interact with, and that gives it a more sentimental value. Don’t know if it makes me more fashionable tho
Reference for preference is a major tip people over look when building their style. I’m glad you used the popular person analogy because it’s easy to want to affiliate, then once in realize it isn’t meant for you at all. I tried to incorporate ricks, and although plenty of people praised the fit, I wasn’t 100% into it since it didn’t compliment my wardrobe. I realized I enjoyed thick footwear, but not chunky. No facts jadon my style I realized derived from fighting game characters and what they wore Like kyo kusanagi iori Yagami etc and manga characters especially jojos bizarre adventure I learned they all wore high fashion inspired by real life pieces or were exact pieces from collections. Now I'm older and I realize what type of man I want to be I'm confident enough to rock it. Thank you brother
@@rari02 I used to skate a lot growing up. So that environment, the music, the edginess, really impacted my style. I also played basketball and listened to rap. So I have this weird blend of both worlds
