In my mind style is a journey not a destination, the fun is in experimenting and evolution, but that’s just me 🤷🏿‍♀️

This is probably the hardest thing to do as a teenager. 98% of my closet is cartoon or tacky graphic tees from the mall and clothes I’ve outgrown🤦🏾‍♂️ then I find pieces that grab my eye, but wouldnt look right with my body type

that process of buying clothes is so essential bruh. I've spent so much money on clothes I dont even wear anymore but its needed to find out the cuts that work for your proportions, styles that match your personality, and overall practicality of a garment. great video.

Since I been in high school I've found myself gravitating towards the baggy/ loose-fitted look more than the skinny & tapered look but I'm very comfortable with both. Recently I've found myself really getting into "dad shoes", like just the bulkier style shoes. I feel like your style should not only be comfortable, but it should be a visual representation of how you define yourself. Like it shouldn't completely define you, but it should be another way to express the type of person you are and it should reflect your mind, if that makes any sense.

My style started changing in my mind before making the jump to actually rocking the shit I luv.

I feel the biggest issue for me was shopping online and figuring out what size I am and basically seeing myself in the product. Especially when a product can be a Large but its a bit oversized for me. Which sometimes it depends on the brand or the measurements companies use. It is weird to see that not many people shop in person for clothes cause its true, you might find something best suited for you during the process. If it didn't fit you then you at least can put it away without waiting the 2 weeks for your money back. As for the video thank you! will be using this as reference next time I go shopping.

I went from middle school wearing basket ball shorts and a t shirt everyday to wearing Hoodies and jeans everyday in 9th through 11th grade because I was self concious af but something clicked last summer and I started working out now I can go to school wearing t shirts and shit and feeling confident at the same time I still wear my windbreaker occasionally because I spent 80 on it and its dope af

Yeah, trends are lame to try and keep up with. Trends can be fun to experiment with from time to time, but I hate when something becomes a trend and then "goes out of style" when it's something that actually works for me. I'm super scrawny (5'7" and 100 lbs), so I typically wear skinnier pants and a loose-fitting shirt. It's just my style, it's the silhouette that looks best on me, it's what I feel most comfortable in the majority of the time. But now everybody's saying skinny pants are "going out of style" and I'm still rocking them. Do I care what people think about me as an individual? Nah, but it kinda sucks when I'm hearing stuff all the time like "skinny jeans are bad and outdated, don't wear them," etc. I do wear some slim or even baggy trousers and chinos from time to time to switch things up, but black skinny jeans are an absolute staple in my closet. And skinny trousers. They're kinda like chelsea boots in the sense that chelseas were a "trend" for a minute there and then "went out of style," but they're still a staple in my wardrobe and menswear in general. Chasing trends can get so bad, especially if you're throwing out clothes after only wearing them for a little bit. But also because you don't wanna let trends affect the way you view yourself and your image. Find your own lane and screw what anyone else thinks
