Morgan Crock my skatepark doesnt have gates but they put a fuckin fence around it bcs of corona but everyone jumps over anyway plus it never gets crowded only two or three ppl at most

Seeing u start ur own skate brand has inspired me to do the same kinda thing, on a much smaller scale of course 😉 with a couple of my friends and even my uncle, we’ve all just started skating hard again, and it brings us a lot of great times. I’ve even made a team logo and trying to make some tees. Thank u so much for the inspiration. Love ur channel and love what ur doing for skateboarding 🛹

They're doing the same thing in my town. All the skateparks that were skate at your own risk are closed while bars are allowed to set up tables in the street to drink.

All the skaters in NY would benefit from someone as well-spoken as you, John, advocating for the re-opening of skate parks to whatever local gov't's can make that happen. You presented good reasons for opening them, and good observations that there is imbalance in the type of parks reopening. Just sending a well-written letter to your city representative could make a difference.

I've honestly seen some comments stating that John came off a bit like a sook when the man kicked him out, but he seriously has a perfect reasoning for the fact that he has been constantly searching for areas that are skate-able and it's hard. Personally as a kid penny-boarding it has been difficult to find spots though luckily I do have 1 in particular just in Australia though.

welcome back John. its nuts how many people arent social distancing. I live in queens, and the local park is divided into different areas. The playground and the courts with flat ground are closed but the more natural parts of the park are open and PACKED. its literally unfair in concept.

Although I agree with what John is saying about the 2 parks skating has a risk of putting extra pressure on the emergency service unlike jogging as if you fall if a skateboard you could break a bone

Live in NYC and I've gotten really into your videos and Braille's the past few weeks. Been thinking about getting my first board but my biggest hurdle is finding a place I feel comfortable practicing since I'll literally be at square one. Hope places open up and a reasonably safely sooner or later.

Here in estonia we just had our parks open up but before if you were caught by police then the fine was about 1-2k euros. I’m glad that they opened our parks

Skateparks are closed because it's hard to practice social distancing in skateparks. In open green spaces where obstacles aren't really shared that is much easier to social in theory. Imagine if everyone who wanted to skate that park decided to hop the fence, it would be packed bro.

trek out to the newly finished, officially open, Woodbridge skatepark in NJ! Has some really interesting transition obstacles, nice hubbas, a combo ledge type thing, and a handrail.

Quarantine logic: -Parks with a lot of people being next to each other like never ever before in life (ALLOWED) -Desert skateparks with 3 or 5 skaters as much in a big area where they don't get to be next to each other (NOT ALLOWED). 🤦🤦🤦🤦

I just have 2-3 really bad spots in my town and the only park (which is just a basketball court with 2 ramps and some boxes) is closed. I've been resorting to doing things like stalls on rocks and stuff.

Yeah my park close for a bit and the first thing we did was build a ledge a rail. Later we went downtown (where skateboarding is completely banned) and waxed up a new ledge

It’s so different here in AK, no skateparks have closed as far as I know. Also, I live in Homer and there’s not a huge community here. I hope you guys are finding other ways to have fun skating!

Similar thing happening with skate parks vs parks in the UK. Parks open, skate parks shut... Also tennis clubs open where you have to pick up a ball handled by a sweaty person you are playing. Or you could be skating, bmxing, scooting blading or whatever ON YOUR OWN... Gov please Explain?

i just started skating again , and its crazy how there was 0 ... skate-parks in nyc for years other then LES and 12th and A lol now theres so many, like when maloof, farkrockaway and Astoria opened upped it was so good then i hurt my knee and stopped skating lol

Man in Germany we barely have skateparks. It SUCKS! I’m just a beginner but the only skatepark near is one with deep pools and no other obstacles. Also the people there aren’t nice so I don’t go there anymore

That Skater kid bro plz don’t be discouraged everyone had to start somewhere chances are your overthinking it any good skaters will not judge you because they where once at that point too some will but thats just them projecting their own insecurities so don’t let them get too you just focus on having fun and getting better and you’ll start to feel more comfortable going the more go there and eventually you’ll be one of those good skater as for the showing off that’s just part of skating people work hard at it and like to show what they’ve learned to others don’t take it the wrong way
