it's so nice that Chinese writing survived, I find it so beautiful! It's really regrettable that the ccp simplified it because it looks so beautiful in its naturally evolved form, I'm glad Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong still keeps the traditional way of writing alive!
I lived in Beijing and used simplified Chinese, but I learned traditional Chinese by watching the subtitle of the film from Hongkong (VCR)in 1990s. I feel the same way, we call it "castrated Chinese culture". But when I researched more and more characters, (because I'm making an online course) some simplified character was from cursive script even 1,300 years ago. such as "尸",“屍”. if you watched the seal script part, CCP simplified traditional Chinese was as same as Qin Shihuang standardized different Chinese characters. unification of people's thought and mind.❤️
@@StoryofAncientChina Very true sir, we can learn alot about Chinese History. It's very cosmopolitan and far reaching. So many colorful and dynamic people too. You're a great ambassador to your people as well. I love your channel and plan to watch more this weekend.
@StoryofAncientChina Well China has a rich history and culture. Maybe talk about positive or enduring stories as inspiration too. Yes wars, violence are all part of life but there are so many great Chinese stories that pull on one's heart strings for the underdog that persevered.
This is something that was taught to us in Mandarin class when I was in an international school in China, it's one of the many things I love about Chinese language and culture.
If you see early pictogram of sumarians and a little later Chinese characters ,they are very similar. At that time early silk road route was used to transfer writing system to China, where it flourished immediately. ...Prof.Dr.Nasir Fazal gold medalist Cambridge USA
Silk Road did connect the east and west, but the Oracle Bone script was over 3,000 year ago, before the Silk Road. however, as human being, ancient civilizations have some similarity.😊❤️
