Relatively misleading. Freezing provides safety which is one of the main uses. Imagine a control mage like Orianna versus an assassin like zed pre 6. You freeze the wave near your tower for free trades against zed if he attempts to farm, free farm for yourself, while also setting zed up to b ganked into submission by your jg.
watch it again, try to remember ingame. if not, watch it again and try to remember ingame. continue this and you will get better ! i did the same.. took me a few months to get this in my head but it helped alot tho
Wave control is used to deny creeps or be able to roam/back without losing creeps. Always push the lane when your backing / roaming under the ennemy tower so you don't lose as much creeps and the wave will push back to you when you'll come back. Freeze is for making the wave stay in one place ( usually near your turret ). It helps you farm safely and make the ennemy exposed to ganks. For instance I was Camille and wanted to abuse Nasus. However Nasus made a freeze that I coudln't broke so he could farm freely and of course then outscaled me, which helped hil getting in late easier where he is at his strongest
It was a joke? I really was supposed to laugh... sorry i have more braincells to dont be able to understand why this is funny. i cant understand how they didnt died already who laugh at this type of "humor".
@@hggpiWhat? Are you wondering why this is funny? If so, the reason this is funny is because when ur like trying to slow push or freeze, if ur a noobie like us, we just press all our abilities off of muscle memory on autopilot without thinking, so yeah thats that XD
@@mehrezO2 well there can be the decision between do we take the inhib or baron. I think most People (me included) find it hard to know whats better late game. But yeah that depends on the Team comb aswell :)
I'll tell what I learned the hard way as a support. Which applies in gold, but I don't think any higher than that. In late game 5v5. Just stick as 5 (or split if you can offord it as a team) and just run around the map, having vision of course, and try to catch enemys while they are mispositioned e.x their jng decides to get red buff while they are left as 4 mid. Just don't force a fight yourself. It is WAY easier capitalising on their mistakes. But there are a bunch of nuances. This is how I stopped throwing games as a support trying to force fights. Just wait on their dumb ass to missplay and try to stay healthy(don't get poked)
@Christianl Ventura too bad you forgot that solo queue is not an organised environment he will never learn unless he makes mistakes so let him do what he thinks is best.
Let's give a hand to all the *MINIONS* who tank tower shots, gets killed for Gold and EXP. Even if u minion-block us, the league is nothing w/o you. 👏👏👏
I would like a permanent gamemode without minions. Where we get xp and gold periodically and no towers exist. Only then would I be satisfied... I hate minion block more then anything except maybe how the tower range varies depending on how it feels that day. I have replays of tower shooting people 5 miles away from where they should. You can go to practice tool and watch its range and then watch some games you will see what I am talking about
People dont understand that wave management is very very important for you as a jungler. Junglers can set up freeze's for laners when they died/recalled, while they can also fuck up waves by just killing one minion.
@@ΒασίληςΒλάχος-υ5χ Εχω κολλήσει στο gold 2 και δεν μπορώ να ανεβω με τίποτα όσο καλά κι αν παιξω. Αλλά ένα θέμα μου είναι το wave management νιώθω. Πως το βλεπεις, το βίντεο αυτό βοήθησε καθόλου να ανέβεις dia η μπα;
This is great but I find that the gameplay you provide as background footage almost never compliment what's being said and sometimes it even detracts from your content. The gameplay from 8:40 onward for example does nothing but distract from the actual points you're looking to make.
Dont name your video as if it were some complete guide if in the very same video you refer to other guides multiple times... Its not the only one I need if I need to read all this other stuff, is it?
There's nothing perfect about this video. Its very basic, and barely useful at all because they dont really go into the reasons to freeze which are the most important part of this
1:45 when your teacher tries to put memes on the homework to try and fit in, but they're completely out of place. The omegalul would replace the "O" in cannon not the "A" WeirdChamp
honestly i can’t even explain how much this helped me, like the importance of wave management is overlooked by everyone, i went from silver to plat in a little over 3 months just by learning good wave management
It's general information, it's good to know. I play Top/Mid and I'm always looking up new Jungle pathing to have a better feeling of where the enemy Jungler is. By learning this you can understand better how the wave behaves and plan your ganks better for example. Not to mention that sometimes freezing or just fixing the wave lane for your laner when you are passing by (maybe when they both backed, something like this) can change a whole game.
I main nasus jungle. This late game info is actually pretty nice about the slow push thing. Since of top us slow pushing I can hard push bot with ult. Also the cannons every wave at 25 is pretty good info.
Genuinely curious how this is the only wave control guide I'll ever need when you keep referring to other places to learn more about things that are relevant to eave control
1:03 -1:05 Just because he doesnt show them doesnt mean he doesnt have mechanics. Its actually the opponents fault since they are so bad that he isnt forced to use his mechanics. "The strongest samurai only draws his sword for those who are worth to fight against"
I was bronze just a few weeks ago, but ever since following ProGuides Challenger League of Legends Guides , I've just reached Gold! I'm almost Gold 3! Thanks ProGuides Challenger League of Legends Guides

Basically if you have more minions alive than the enemy its going to push towards their turret, and if they choose to fight you as their minions die they’ll take plenty of dmg, if you choose to do the same thing you’ll take lots of dmg. To freeze you have to let the enemy kill your minions faster than you kill theirs, that was the lane will freeze near your turret as there’s enough enemy minions to kill your minions before they can start going further up the lane
This is certainly something I need to practice more. All this time playing this game I saw wave clearing in a singular dimension- that is I either get all the minions or I don't. If i had to compare it to this video, I'd say that all I've ever done is fast pushing. I find myself always using abilities (when possible) to multi kill minions and try and wrack up the farm count. Yet I've always been behind the opposing laner's farm count. After watching this video, I THINK I get it. But practicing it is going to be hard as it goes against what feels "natural". It just feels so strange to be "hanging back" and letting the minions fight it out so much before deciding how to interact myself. Of course, last hitting is something I Suck at still so its all a learning process.
This guide may be helpfull for someone that dosen't know about freezing and slowpushing, but you didn't warned them that if you slowpush and your wave dosen't hit the tower, you will lose minions, that's why before you back you have make sure that your wave is crashing the tower :) and let's don't mention how you reset the waves ...
More people in low elo solo queue need to see this. There would be a LOT less feeding. Laning phase isn't always about who can outplay who for kills. Your primary goal is to work the wave!
How about guides on how to react to pushes? In most low elo games people go straight for fast pushing and don't deviate. So should I always be trying to freeze then fast push? This is of course going to be matchup dependent but I think knowing when to use these strategies is key
Mostly people prefer just to play for fun and challenges and also to troll... Anyways that information is only needed if you really devote yourself to the game too much that you really study and train yourself to get higher league for rising to the top where you get yourself raged or suicide due to depression and the tension from either excitement in the game or stress of losing the game and from your team mates
Me : watches video Also me : deficates a whole shezt of paper writing down notes on wave management Also me 15 mins later : i play a game and totally forget about everything
3:20 4:21 8:20 are so pretty What are these editing effects called? Not asking how to recreate them in a software, just the name of the technique. Thanks
im top laner when i facing against ap like liss sylas vlad and my pick is more aggro like ire jax jayce etc i always push minion wave am i right? nxt me ap facing against bruiser like ire fio riv or tanks and im tank like cho naut mao that can 1v1 bruiser maybe?i only freezing am i right im new at top guys my current rank is p1.
I should try this in top or mid. Every time I try to have any sort of wave management in bot, my support comes in and messes it all up...then again, it's my own fault for not saying anything to them but typing is just too much effort in game.
Depends what you get from it, if enemie jgl, bot lane are dead and mid lane can't roam bc of the minion wave, push bot lane to tower, get a plating and run. If your botlane is alive don't steal their xp, they gonna push so freeze for them.
Wave management as a support main is pretty difficult because the ADC is kind of the one who controls it. The only thing you can do as sup is hard push when needed; but you can't ever slow it down.
this shit literally did not help me at all. How do you beat Nasus???? If I push, he farms under tower. If I don't he farms regardless. What the actual fuck.
I have a hard time understanding how to execute "freezing", how do you do that? Because when I do it, it sometimes transitions into slow-pushing, which is something I don't want when losing a lane.
So freezing is when I kill your melee minions and I manipulate your casters. You're in control of the wave if you're attempting a freeze usually. I let these casters stay alive long enough (4+ is the best) for the next wave to arrive. I'll thin it out as my wave dies, and as my wave dies the enemy laner cant cs for fear of punishment.
right after Watching this i tried some of the things about wave control said in this video and I absolutely destroyed. It was an Annie botlane but besides that the tips really helped
On freezing, is that how many caster minions I want or how many I want on the enemy side? I'm just trying to manage the number of ranged minions so that it doesn't move from where I want it right?!
leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Minion#Caster%20Minion Am I correct: at lvl 1, melee minion DPS = 12 (AD) * 1.25 (AS) = 15 DPS caster minion DPS = 24 (AD) *.6667 (AS) = 16 DPS at lvl 25, melee minion DPS = 80 (AD) * 1.25 (AS) = 100 DPS caster minion DPS = 120 (AD) *.6667 (AS) = 80 DPS So, early game, caster do more DPS, but late, melee do more DPS. But you say in your video that caster minion do more DPS. I am confused?
Guys I am trying to play Urgot, but he got NO (real) escapes so fastpushing is suicide, sloepushing gives risk to being "freeze'd" and become VULNARABLE as heck, but freezing is almost impossible as the enemy tries the same but Urgots passivr insta-pushes.... Any tips? I keep getting ganked and I need some help. I can usually 1v1 my laner in all-outs, but it leaves me so bloody vulnarable. Roaming is mediocre unless there are ultable targets. Please respond if you have any knowledge of these kind of situations. I. Keep. Getting. Camped. (and I can't freeze D: )
