Fun fact. Johan played exactly the same thing in the previous round against David Anton. First deviation was at move 16 - Anton played Rg7 instead of Bd7. Johan won that game as well.

No wonder...fisher said chess become more like memorisarion...if new generation has memorise more on opening, the deviation start at move 10onwards.., so imagine if play for classical, he quickly save up 10 to 15moves prep n able to have time to play the mid game properly. Classical is getting bored.Magnus would rather cook a new recepi that is losing advantages so that opponent to gain any memorisation to work, and pounced on n hunt him in the bush.

Why gukesh has not taken his queen
@indianfan1029
@indianfan1029 6 месяцев назад
Its unfair to attribute it to opening prep. Gukesh had enough time to thwart the coming disaster, he just didn't react enough or at all. As soon as White's Queen moved to first rank, it was obvious what it's intention was. Gukesh could have or atleast should have tried to stop the disaster.

When a real position occurred in board 2750 looked like a 1400 rated clueless . Remember guys these are same level players like us with better visualisation.
@_s_l
@_s_l 7 месяцев назад
such a stupid thing to say lol....simply the better player is the one with better visualization. That's the very thing which differs top players from others. According to you magnus also just like us. just learn to appreciate others.
@shubomb
@shubomb 7 месяцев назад
It's blitz and he had a bad game. You don't get time to think and one inaccurate move against someone who's prepared a specific line for you and you're left defending for your life for the rest of the match. And there were 21 rounds here, a Super GM can have a bad day. Also what an incredibly ignorant thing to say that a Super GM is there only because of better visualisation. Wait till you watch the video of a GM getting scholar mated, you'll say that you're better than him bcz you'll nevee fall for that.
@firelordplayz
@firelordplayz 7 месяцев назад
@@_s_l It's actually 90% of pure memorization from hundreds of thousands of games previously seen and studied and 10% of one's own creativity and visualization. Chess is mostly about memorization, which is why you have all these 12-14 year "prodigies" who become grandmasters and reach 2600-2700 very quickly only to completely disappear into oblivion later on.
@_s_l
@_s_l 7 месяцев назад
@@firelordplayz it ain't 90% memorization bro. Stop spreading bs you don't have a clue about.
@azamata7613
@azamata7613 7 месяцев назад
@@firelordplayzyou simply can’t memorise 90% of lines that you played and studied before, there is hundreds of lines and opening choices, so top players try to memorise general patterns to use them in a out of prep situations, for example. That would be more correct to say, because chess is more about creativity and pure calculation
