He could have said he wanted to pay later because the cashier wasn't around. Then the theft wouldn't be as obvious as just running away or telling some BS.
One of the most impressive things about these videos is how creative the names are for these videos. The Opportunistic Oiler is great but another one that got me was the Pepsi Pilferer or something lmao
Has the "Butterfinger Bandit" happened yet? I've worked at these types of service stations for years. Seen it all. These videos never suprise me actually.
Dipstick: _"Sorry about that. I Just got fired from my job."_ Jack: _"Oh yeah, what did you get fired for?"_ Dipstick: _"They said it was for stealing, but I would never do something like that."_
I was sitting, waiting in the driveway of a station in a tiny Oklahoma town years ago when Cletus slid to a stop at the pumps. He got out, popped the hood of his LTD, then, all in one motion, pulled the dipstick, ran it through his fingers to clean off the oil, yelled “ THAT SON OF A BITCH IS HOT”, then threw the dipstick about 20 yards across the parking lot. Brilliant observation, Cletus.
Same! Every time I walk into a gas station I make sure to never look up at the counter since that’s what thief’s do 🤣 I hear him say it every time in my head while I’m walking to pick out some delicious beverages.
@@lawlor2925 The dude has 204 videos on here if I counted right. You only need 20 minutes for a 30 minute time slot. With all the unnecessary yaking they do, with just a few actual videos, on shows like Court Cam, Body Cam, Fasten Your Seatbelt, etc he has plenty enough video for several seasons.
@@wiskyvet 204 videos from YEARS of doing it lol. And avg 3 min on all those. That ain't enough at all lol, I get notifications each time he does a new 3 min video and seems like it's once every 2 weeks, sometimes once a month
Another CSB. I was working in a gas station many years ago when a guy pulls up and asks for five bucks worth, then opens the trunk, pulls out a five gallon can of oil, pops the hood, pours some into the engine, then slams the hood. He never checked the oil before or after adding the oil. He could probably tell how much it needed by the key of the clatter the engine made.
every half tank is 2 qts. no need to check. it won't be overfill for too long and will be low for three days anyway. I drove a corolla. I fixed it and had probably the only corolla with 300k miles that burned no oil. That thing was like fill the oil and check the gas when I bought it.
"I just got fired from my job" yea, losing a job sucks. But the gas station attendant is gonna be out of a job if the company cant pay employees from your 5 finger discount
It blows my mind that people just steal as part of their everyday lives, they think they are smarter than the store employees and think they are just entitled to free stuff. 🤔
so, the idea is that no working class person could be a liberal? or that no liberal has a job, or respect for their fellow man... what kind of dumbshit stereotype is that?
Not really he even denied it at first, only came in to pay once the police were mentioned. Lied about the one he took, and probably lied about getting fired. Most people say sorry just to curb the discomfort
He had a chance to do right. "You gonna pay for that oil?" "yes sir i just didnt know where you were and i'm in a hurry" not "This is my oil" Who does he think he is the United States? Just entitled to everyone else's oil? (Lol)
It’s actually hard to get fired from a job unless you just don’t try or you are a thief. He’s just another one of the countless pos victims out there in the world today. Catch them stealing and they always have a sob story.
It costing so little is why many people do it. They know the cops are not likely to get involved and if they get caught they can just pay for it. Stealing expensive items that you can't afford to pay for is much more rare because of the consequences.
Dude's kicking himself now. If he was honest, he probably would have bought the $3 oil but since he thought it was going to be free, ended up paying way more.
If your oil is low when your engine is hot, you're really low. So good thing he didn't drive too far with it that low. Also, when you were describing what a dipstick looks like, I was fully expecting to hear a description of our perp.
Wouldn't work, would have to drain all the older oil with it, and would have some loss with what remains on the container for a while. Plus if his oil is low, he probably has a leak, so the oil is already dirty when poured in.
