The ORIGINAL Budokai is RUTHLESS! 

As a kid it was like my life depended on beating perfect cell at the very end... So much hype and adrenaline back then. Budokai 2's Intro is a banger and I can't wait till you get to Buu in that game lmao.

Been imagining BT4 having its own movement system, with Burst Limit's combo cancels and stage transitions, and a sprinkle of Raging Blast's customization. We can dream!!

I used to think this was the greatest game when I was a kid… of course until Budokai 3 and the Tenkaichi series came around 😂 this game and Sly Cooper were my first two games on the PS2 and me and my brother would play this game nonstop…. Good times 😌 hell watching this has me wanting to dust off my PS2 for the weekend and play this again

I remember there was this fight back in the Saiyan Saga where it was Piccolo vs. Nappa and that was the hardest fight for me for some reason. I don't know why, but Nappa was just wrecking me. It got so bad I remember screaming so loud my mom wondered what was wrong. I was probably on that fight for over an hour. Without a break. I was that determined to beat it.

As a kid buu's fury was my favorite dbz game. I hope they add my mans God trunks from super heroes in tenkaichi 4. He is so clean with that red!

Budokai will always be timeless. The tension in SSJ Goku vs Full powered Freeza in Namek. The atmosphere was perfect as well as the level of difficulty. The only weakness Budokai had was doing a combo to do a special attack like Kamehameha. Budokai 2 improved that and I was happy.

Missed the chance to comment on the last video but I loved played as Recoome in this game just because the deadly bomber blew up the map, idk why. But it was always Recoome, Trunks, Vegeta, Cell, Zarbon, and probably Raditz I loved playing as.

Basically from what we got here lotus I believe cells plan was the same as makin buu in a way absorbing the stronger fighters then terrorizing the rest of the universe with his perfect form he just wasn’t as stupid as buu he was an intelligent weaker version who also broke off from his creators original plan

Ngl this game is the hardest budokai i feel they seem how hard it was and made the others not as bad. In budokai 2 and 3 you could literally change difficulty mid fight to make it easier.

I hope he'll beat the Cell games as a certain character, but he'll need money and luck to unlock that mode.....

Yeah the 2D Budokai games were basically the souls game versions of the DBZ games in my opinion , they were all too damn hard

I had beat the entire story on hard mode 2 days ago. I swear that the cpus be reading inputs lol and funnily enough cell was the easiest one, struggled with frieza more then him

I know it's more or less irrelevant to charge ki in the new dbz games. Not doing it in the first budokia games is detrimental.

If you want to play Dragon Ball Z: Sagas, hard mode is only reasonable with infinite combos, but it's doable solo.

Don't put yourself through Sagas, man. You can skip that AND Taiketsu. This one had a couple of funny alternate stories, too. Like Mr. Satan's perspective on the Cell Games and "what if Vegeta beat Goku in the Saiyan Saga?" I don't want to spoil too much if you want to actually get through it.

To be fair, the difficulty curve is a bit tough. Final battle with cell is decently tough the last time I recall playing this game.
