I think Spy Kids Armageddon is better than nothing. Keep the Spy Kids franchise going.

I just watched the reboot to me Gina Rodrigues Zachary Levi chemistry didn’t seem forced. It was good it seemed like a blend of all 4 spykid movies.

What about having the kids form Spy Kids 4 All the time in the World. Having Rebecca and Cecil would be so cool. They could work with Patty and Tony. And having Alexa playing Rebecca and Cecil’s step aunt that would be perfect to have her show up to posible advices again. And Tony and Patty could meet them.

I thought armageddon was pretty good. Its was a mirror of the original movie

I watched it with my kids, at least they had the same director so it had alot of similar things without the original cast. The original CGI was always garbage, but as kids we thought it was amazing. So the people talking about cgi don't know how life works 💀😭 lol ofc it's not gonna be as "fascinating", we were like 10 😂 it looked real af. Zachary Levi makes everything he's in look like crap thanks to Shazam 💀

I was born in 1994, and therefore obviously watched the first film in 2001. And every one after that because nostalgia. And I found Spy Kids: Armageddon to be... Generic. The writing as okay, but nothing great, and as usual with these movie, way too preachy and on-the-nose with the message it wanted to send. There's also an element of mystery to the original Spy Kids they failed to include here, where the idea of OSS spies was made to feel like something almost exotic, and that prevented it from grabbing my attention like the first one still does to this day when I watch it. It's a step up from Spy Kids 4, to put it mildly, both in terms of acting, story and not least of all the fight choreography, which is _much_ better here. I would still put it _slightly_ below Spy Kids 3, though part of that is the nostalgia. Overall, I thought it was fine, but it didn't exactly impress me. Credit where credit is due, though, the humor - I liked it. Self-aware jokes like the kids seeing the OSS building for the first time, and instead of being awed, they're rolling their eyes and going "just in case anyone wondered where the super secret spies were working" - that was actually legit funny. I laughed at that. I'm a _bit_ confused about the timeline here. D.J. Cotrona played the Director of the OSS in this, and his character was called Devlin. But then the Director of the OSS in the original movie was called _Diego Devlin_ - who eventually became President of USA, and was succeeded first by Donnagon Giggles, and later Gregorio Cortez in Spy Kids 2. This begs the question: Is this set before or after the original trilogy? Is Cotrona another individual who happens to have the same name, or is it a recast? If its a recast, that _might_ explain why there's no mention of a Spy Kids division in the OSS, (which was shut down sometime after Spy Kids 3, and which Juni and Carmen becomes co-directors of at the end of Spy Kids 4 when it is re-opened), so some more clarification given in the movie would've been nice. Perhaps the premise would, instead of trying to retreat Spy Kids 1, which it story-wise did in several ways, we could have had a bit of a fake-out with Antonio Banderas as Gregor Cortez as the Director of the OSS is handing out assignments to agents, including a cameo from some older characters in the franchise, and then Carmen and/or Juni has to evaluate the performance of two new recruits, Tony and Patty, whose own parents underwent training as agents by Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez and became seasoned and well-respected agents in their own right, and hence is friendly with the Cortezes, and let the b-plot be this build up with a lot of tense anticipation: Tony and Patty failed their first attempt at qualifying to Spy Kids, and their parents try to encourage them to try again later, but they feel like complete failures. Then the A-plot happens, with the massive threat that is going on because someone is after the Armageddon Code, specifically Terrence Tango and Nora Torrez, for their part in building it. What if the two latter goes missing, and Gregorio poured OSS resources into finding and rescuing them, but refused to let Tony and Patty help, as they were not trained Spy Kids and hence unqualified to partake in the search, which could be quite dangerous after all. They look to Carmen and June, who reluctantly agrees with their father, and sends Tony and Patty to a safe-house to wait for their parents to be rescued, but on their way there, suddenly the coordinates change on their auto-piloted car/plane, whatever, and they find themselves at a _different_ safe house than the one Gregorio designated, where Juni and Carmen is already waiting for them, and they're like; "Dad's going to kill us for this, but if anything happened to _our_ family, we'd not go along with being sidelined either. So - if you two are going to help find your parents, we'd better get a move on - but first; basic training." Then they can get separated through an attack on the safe house where Carmen and Juni helds them off long enough to escaped, and the new Spy Kids must go on on their adventure on their own.

Spy Kid 4 was my first experience on the franchise, I thought it was kinda good, even though the critics and the fans on the site didn't like that much. Maybe I should watch the original and then compare again...

three first spy kids movies still are the best. others are meh

I watched it, and it was boring. What I got was on the main "spy" family side a retelling of the family dynamic from spy kids one, the vilan and his plan was from game over even the ending massage was the same as game over with the "villain" being a miss understood person who just needed a chance to be understood. Let talk og Spy kids villains evil plans. Spy kids one, villain wants a powerful emp device to take over the world, spy kids two world domination through robot kids replacing world leaders children. Spy kids 3 basically same as Armageddon, spy kids 4 undoing a mistake in the past.... Spy kids 1 had family importance in it while showing way carmen and Judy would want to be spies at the end. Sorry but I don't believe the children in Armageddon would realistically want to be spies when doing stuff the spy way made things worse and doing stuff the non spy way saved the day. Also being Armageddon if it actually did what the movie says it does. Then no the king wouldn't and shouldn't have gotten off with a slap on the wrist. As who knows how many people in hospitals around the world on life support machines died, nuclear power plants that should have had catastrophic melt downs, plans loosing navigation and being unable to land, on top of what the movie showed. Also I'm pretty sure the world's nuclear loach codes are physical and not on digital anything, as it's not the codes that lonach the nuclear weapons. Anyway the man villain is realistically if the movie was constant the largest mass murderer in any spy kids movie on top of being more distotive than all three world wars combined including the US bombing Japan and US vs ussr's nuclear bombs testing arms race.
