Claire, Joseph and Daniel were absolutely phenomenal in this episode! Unbelievable how great their are portraing all these emotions and characters in general.
Something that I haven't seen being talked about is the trauma that both Elijah and Rebecca must have from seeing their father abusing Klaus. Even though they did their best to protect Klaus, it didn't always work, I can't imagine how helpless they felt. Klaus clearly has trauma from how he was treated by his father, but it also has effected his siblings too.
You don’t bring someone who wants to kill Klaus if you don’t want him dead. She knew his dad wants him dead and decided to bring him back. Like you’ve said Rebekah is smart she knew his dad only wants to kill him so she knew what she was doing. I was happy she left. Klaus basically said you’re dead to me leave and never come back and I loved it 😂
This is one of my favorite episodes. The Rebekah/Klaus relationship will always be top tier for me. You notice later on the emphasis of them saying “We live without Hope” or “Our family’s Hope”. Foreshadowing.
I don't get why after Klaus said that Rebekah wanted him dead Elijah said "you're wrong". IT IS THE TRUE. She called for Mikael and she knew how that would end. The flasbback about her attempting to kill Mikael was amazing and powerful, but still that didn't erase the fact that she wanted Klaus death then... They spent centuries together on running away from Mikael. Don't tell me that she didn't knew that killing Klaus is what Mikael wants lol
You guys need to understand that yes Rebekah didn’t want Klaus dead however he could have been dead easily had Mikael killed Klaus in that theater while he was behind him! Her actions could have lead to the deaths of her brothers, luckily it didn’t
Shortly, after this episode aired Clair Holt who plays Rebekah post that she was leaving the series so she could return home to her family in Australia.
I personally believe Rebekah was at least Ok with the idea Mikael would kill Klaus. I do not believe Klaus ever intended to kill Rebekah. I think he wanted to do exactly what he did. Klaus wouldn't miss that close unless he didn't miss and never meant to kill. Klaus successfully punished both his siblings this episode and i think it was more then fair. The only issue i have is like she said. Rebekah never apologizes to Klaus but does too Elijah.
One thing u can't say though is that Klaus has NEVER been willing to kill or let any of family die. (not daggering, actually kill) Don't think he's ever chose someone else over a family member too. Also, it wasn't just Klaus's childhood he was abused or tormented, Mikael continued for centuries. Klaus has many issues due to Mikael and betrayals. Hes paranoid so don't think it help when Rebbecca was so quick to defend Marcel during the convos. Klaus would feel even worse seeing that loyalty 😢 as abused kid i just feel and support Klaus. Rebecca wanting him dead for a moment broke his heart and shocked him, even though he assumed it & feared it.
actually rebekah played claire holt want to get off for some epsiodes shoot.. so they made like this she leaving temporarily but she will be back after some episodes
Rebekah got away with stealing Mikael’s knife and he almost beat Klaus to death let me know if there it footage of Klaus watching Mikael beating Rebekah to death as a child than I would entertain a post like this if the sexes were reversed y’all would be mad at Klaus for calling Mikael. I don’t get the hypocrisy of this fanbase
